For crying out loud, what times i'm living in, full of those who think they're inventing better moustraps! For decades i used a serviceable simple round drain which screwed in with one screw and was flush with the tub. They used to be at HomeDepot for at most $3 give or take. Whatever collected in the tub did NOT escape down the vintage drains, and water did NOT collect around the vintage drains. They were low profile, not getting in the way of one's toes the way so many fancy ones do. When i wished to fill the tub, i simply took my round, 5" diameter flat-rubber drain stropper and laid it across the drain-holes so that it lay perfectly flush atop it. NO BIG DEAL! NO FANCY HYPE! In those days people were able to get on with the business of living. These days everyone's busy babysitting and sorting out JUNQUE. How very time guzzling. All this has been orchestrated by technocrats, and is just as Orwell predicted. Yep, i'm one of the "proles" and can't even find simple mops that i need, or drains that i need.
