This one is long overdue. Believe it or not, this tribute has been a concept in development even before The Chosen One. Yeah you read that right.
Han & Chewie. The world's most favorite duo from a Galaxy Far Far Away. Their upbringing shaped them into knowing only survival, but it wasn't until they met one another (and Luke & Leia) that they realized what they were truly missing in life - a family and a place to call home. Han was a man who thought all he needed was himself but came to realize how much he needed Chewie and vice versa. As their bond grew, their path led to an adventure of a lifetime filled with tragedy, love, and fulfillment.
We are all truly nothing without each other. Every single one of us needs someone to make us feel like we belong and that we matter. Han realized this and learned to value it over everything else..until the very end.
Hope you all enjoy this one! Now I will be off to my studies and the next tribute video. See ya then!

The thing that made me tear up was that Han wants to seem cold and non caring with a small hearth but in the end... when he stopped being like that he got killed by his own son
I think he got like that after being betrayed by Kira. He just stopped caring for love.
He was being true to the person he had become...old Han would have sneaked away to fight another day.
New Han was willing to die to bring his son back. Even knowing that if he didn't succeed, his death could help begin the process.
Tompan200 but the way they finally ended off his story by having a memory of Han be the thing that turns ben back to the light is the exact send off that a character like that deserves. Much better than Luke’s which I don’t even think is that bad.
Michael Hutchins I feel they all died with purpose. Han died starting his son journey to redemption, Luke died causing more conflict in Ben and bringing hope back to the galaxy and Leia died bringing Ben back to the light fully.

Chewie lost his family, his planet, his life long best friend, Han solo, he also lost Yoda, and he got torchured and got thrown into a pit in solo, luke and finally he lost leia. He truly lived a harsh and good life.

I'm gonna make this as short as I can. My father was a giant star wars fan. He passed before i was old enough to remember him. He left me a ton of star wars stuff. Han was his hero and I grew up being a fan as well, made me feel closer to my dad. When han was killed off it destroyed my heart. It was like I lost my dad but i witnessed it. This made me laugh cry and smile. Thank you for this HFP. You will never know how deep this has touched my heart. As han said to luke, May the force be with you.

There is no easy answer to that question. Solo was the rebel in all of us (no pun intended) as Lucas viewed a “devil may care” rebel to be. Therefore, even though he had a huge hand in the movie, Han Solo was never going to be the rebel in Solo that he was in Star Wars and beyond. I say this knowing that Lucas and Howard have a history together. But the Lucas Solo I grew up with and the Howard Solo could never be the same Solo. Having said that, I did like Solo because it was about Han Solo, one of my heroes growing up. It was a good movie, one heck of a story, and if I was not so old it would have given me a different view of him because I would not have grown up getting to know him so well already. And, Han Solo’s heart was not the only one sliced through when Ben murdered his father. I think we all died a little that day. RIP Han Solo.

Jack Smith As an added footnote, I did not like the “full front end” of the Millennium Falcon. The Falcon I grew up with had a big chunk missing and was perfect. Now, I know what the YT-1300 was supposed to look like in certain configurations but I also know what the Falcon was supposed to look like and it was out of place. That was my biggest disappointment of the movie. The Falcon is special because she symbolizes freedom of mobility, liberty of movement and she is the most awesome space hot rod (reference to American Graffiti) in the galaxy. Well, when the hyperdrive works that is.
And here is a small private joke I chuckle about to myself whenever I think about it.

When he said chewie we're home, I teared up, i wish they either make a sequel to solo or a tv show, or a show between ROTJ and TFA about Han and Chewbacca

I was driving to work, in a manual car, watching the trailer release for TFA and burst into tears when that moment hit.
Ending with Han and Lando wishing each other well is genius. Han on the other side, Lando still in the fight.
I grew up loving these films. When Luke died. It broke my heart but at least he went peacefully. When Han was killed. I was devastated.
Luke "died" as soon as Disney recast his character into someone other than the Luke Skywalker that we all knew and loved. To be honest, I only felt anger and disappointment when Luke died.
When Han died, however, I was devastated as well. I was so numbed by it that it put a damper on the rest of the movie for me and I walked out of the theater after the credits rolled feeling like I'd just experienced the death of an old friend whom I hadn't seen in years. It's kind of bitterly ironic that Harrison Ford never liked the character of Han Solo because, to me, he was arguably the most likable character from episodes 4-6.

I actually shrieked in the theater when Han died, but it was more about that wail that came out of Chewie. It was so guttural and sad.

The part that just made my heart sink was when Han tells Chewie to take care of Leia as her and Chewie Hug. God I wasn't expecting this at all but I'm glad you made it. This was Awesome.
The “I love you” part always gets me because you know Vader heard it..and it probably cut him deeply. In the end Leia was still his daughter. ❤️
I’m convinced that the only reason Solo existed was so this video could exist.

I watched IX last night. The memory cameo of Han Solo and Ben calling him “dad” after all these years was heartwarming beyond any possible measure. Mine is not the only memory in which Han Solo still lives.

That’s the way YOU feel and i completely understand that, and there’s a lot of people that feel the same way. But dont expect EVERYONE to feel that way. All film is subjective and it hits people in different ways. There are some people like myself that have enjoyed them for the most part.
Believe me there some things i wish they have done different, but what’s done is done. We shouldn’t let our disappointments shroud the enjoyments everyone else is experiencing. That just turns everything toxic.

Not that unpopular anymore. it's developing a kind of cult following. TV series is most likely coming at some point. Solo was a good movie, it just came out at the wrong time and too soon after last jedi.

Not only is this a moving tribute to Han, Chewie, Lando, The Falcon and Leia, but it is also a great reminder of why The Rise of Skywalker could be incredible; it will (hopefully) be a satisfying culmination of all of these characters' stories, and I can't wait to see how it all ends, and then what people like you do with it afterwards :)

Han was in a lot of ways more extraordinary than anyone, he didn’t have Jedi powers but he fought for and with the Jedi for decades, more than kept up and even saved them and the world on many occasions. With beloved chewie’s help of course.

Seeing Chewie's reaction to Leia's passing in TROS was more emotional for me than the actual event itself.
That part when he says goodbye chewie and then you hear chewie cry, makes me cry almost every time. The background music just makes it so much better, love it. Great job

Honestly The Force Awakens was the first Star Wars movie I properly watched in the theaters and sequel trilogy controversy aside, that was a REALLY good movie
First time I've seen scenes from Force Awakens since I watched it in a movie theatre.
