Mandalorians?
So how would you do a Separatist Alliance video? It’s easy to condemn the Republic for willingly becoming the Empire, especially given a lot of the evil people in the Empire rose in power in the Republic. However the choice wasn’t really made for evil reasons. Palpatine needed the Separatists to be a threat to bring up the Empire and villanize groups like the Rebel Alliance.
Now as we know, not every Separatist was some sort of crook or greedy corporate leader. Many joined because they grew tired of the Republic’s corruption. Naboo was a last straw for them. Even Dooku started out as someone who hated this dark side of the Republic. However by the time Dooku started the CIS and kicked off the Clone Wars, he was no longer a noble champion even to his own planet. His charisma hid his new self, a Sith who ensured the Separatist Military was a force of evil to push the Republic to become the Empire. Politicians who tried to stop him were killed while the populace kept cheering him, none the wiser. There’s two sides to the Separatists, the noble side which was just used by the corrupt side. Just imagine if the Separatists knew what their military was doing during the Clone Wars.
@@tristankawatsuma8962I'd have the first part be about the birth of the movement and the good ideas behind it. The second about the Clone Wars and how Palpatine, Dooku & the Commerce Guilds kind of twisted and took advantage of it. And then the last part would be about the Separatists transitioning into the early Rebellion.
@@SWFT_edits But wasn’t the movement founded by Dooku for Sith purposes? It feels more like the CIS was a scam that brought a lot of people in because of their issues with the Republic. Granted, the Separatist Council and Military wasn’t formed until the start of the Clone Wars, two years after the birth of the Separatist Alliance. Still, the CIS feels like it would be more of an example of an unfair system rigged from the start instead of something noble being twisted into something evil, like the Galactic Republic. Admittedly, my interpretation makes me feel even more sorry for the Separatist populace despite being pro-Clone Trooper, but I honestly have my doubts the Separatists were ever anything like the Rebel Alliance, even before the Clone Wars. At least from the point of view of an outsider. Besides Dooku controlling the Shadowfeed Network and killing politicians, I wonder what else Dooku did to keep the civilians and Parliament from learning what the Military was doing on the frontlines.
"This is how liberty dies... with thunderous applause"... when Padme said that, she still had hope... hope that Anakin could somehow save the galaxy... she was wrong.... so very wrong.
Marva Andor showed us how terrfying it was to live under the Empire and the necessity of Rebellion. She showed that even when the Empire was at it's peak power, and it was unbeatable... you had to fight.
You have to Sacrifice for Freedom. Never forget that Freedom isn't Free, and as Would-Be Tyrants seek to claim dominion over nations across the globe, even here in the U.S., we must remember that we all have a stake... in the Republic.
"so this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause"-Padme
As a middle schooler (when ROTS released) I always thought she said “With thunder as applause.” Thought it was cool personification
Natalie Portman delivered that line flawlessly!
May be it cause there is non who really want it. Opposite side of the freedom is responsibility.
Liberty dies with the Patriot Act 🙄
@@Illuminant90no...no... The oppression is the opposite to liberty and freedom. The responsibility we need to recognize is keeping the liberty alive. Keep alive throught the honest words. We need to understand that deceiving is the same as cruelty, an instrument of war.
Palpatine is a masterful manipulator. He deceived everyone, including the Jedi, the Senate, the Clones, and everyone across the galaxy. In the end, he got his victory.
Not just them, but Maul, Dooku, Grievous, Vader. He filled their heads with lies of peace and power and disposed of them once he no longer had any use
And his granddaughter laughed at the Skywalkers by appropriating their last name.
@@Gizzatow This comment It has nothing to do with the conversation
@@idiaridiNADecio Why?The Skywalker family is dead, the granddaughter of their main enemy, as if mocking them, appropriates their last name.I think Shiv Palpatine would be pleased)
He would be nothing without Plagueis
The true tragedy of the prequels is how the fall of both the Republic and the Jedi Order was brought about by themselves as much as it was by Palpatine and the Sith.
Explain? I'm pretty sure Order 66 did the Jedi in
@@multi_rosaThe Jedi were complacent and believed that the Sith that had returned was the same Sith a thousand years ago when the fact is that the Sith have transformed and reborn into something new and different.
@@multi_rosa it is like evolution. They thought the so called Sith will be the same old "traditional" Sith. But unfortunately, Sidious is different. He became, a politician! Right under their noses
@@multi_rosa Order 66 was simply the last dying breath of the Jedi. They died out because they became entrenched in their dogma, refused to evolve their ancient ways and foolishly believed the Sith would openly reveal themselves, and downright refused to believe they could be deceived because of their idiotic total faith in the Force.
@@ViscountAsmodeus Rather the opposite. The Jedi have degraded over thousands of years of sovereign rule. They left politics, while behaving as if they were still its rulers. They did not put the Sith as a threat, considering they can be crushed like a cockroach of slippers, the main thing is to detect them.
It is difficult to imagine the curses that the Jedi of the time of the war with the Sith would have said to Yoda or Windu, and indeed the entire Jedi council. The Jedi before Ruusan Reformation would never underestimate the Sith.
What makes me sad is that A LOT of those really great quotes are from deleted scenes of the prequels. (Padme's speech against the Military Creation Act cut from the beginning of Attack of the Clones, and Mon Mothma's statements during the Seeds of Rebellion scenes cut from Revenge of the Sith.)
As a side note, I think it would be cool to include something from Maul's speech from The Phantom Apprentice: "Too late? For what? The Republic to fall? It already has, and you just can't see it. There's no justice, no law, no order, except for the one that will replace it."
theres just too many incredible quotes to fit them all lol
I wanted to like this one more time, but it already had 66 likes and I just couldn’t ruin it : (
Not what the studios thought the public wanted. Just flashy gimmicks and nostalgia like the sequels.
Well I am definitely glad we are able to find them and listen, they are great
"The Empire has been choking us so slowly we're starting not to notice." This and how democracy dies quote hit way to close at home in modern times.
The West stopped being democracy long ago, turned into oligarchy of the few, elites, some of which are centuries old dynasties.
Yet the majority don't see it even at point blank
“The path to evil may bring great power, but not loyalty.” -Clone Wars season 3 episode 14.
6:20 Very strong pivoting point about the rising Empire.. If we do not stand together; We will be crushed. 🙀
6:49 not 6:20
A stark reminder of what may become of our own world if we allow ourselves to become complacent and deny the existent ambitions of a selfish few.
The West is already an oligarchy of a few selfish elites
Oh man. Every of your SW edits show me once again why and what I love about this universe. They capture the true meaning of Star Wars and are yet so cool to watch.
Every. Single. Time.
Keep it up man.
Agreed
It’s so inspiring and I just wish people would wake up to see how this is our reality
Sure the US isn’t nearly as bad as the Empire, but Lucas warned us about the fragility of Democracy, and how even what we have isn’t really democracy if it serves the elite and not the people. We need a Dooku and a Padme in our world.
When you realise how well this lines up with todays world. Star wars or not, we are living a life like this.
You know, Palpatine’s rise to power reminds me alot of Hitler’s. Both created hyper militaristic states, both were Chancellors, both had cruel backstories, both ultimately fell.
I think that's what George Lucas was going for when he created Palpatine. A lot of the combat in star wars is based on WW2 tactics and weapon systems. it's why fighter pilots dogfight each other at distances of no more than 500 kilometers instead of taking each other out from thousands of kilometers away with missiles like modern fighter planes do.
Never thought about it that way, but yeah. The galactic empire was based on nazi germany, and even though there wasn’t a previous war like ww1 in Star Wars as such, unless you count the stark hyperspace war, the republic was still in a state not unlike Germany post ww1, and much like hitler, there were plenty of people who saw what was happening, hoped it would be beneficial in the end, and by the time they tried anything, they were completely toothless.
@@jackgears681yea
Even stormtroopers we’re Nazi
A great edit! Maarva's monologue is timeless.... Never surrender to the call for order... it's a scam created in shadows and in plain sight... Don't let it happen here. Raw power seekers are the damaged and lost souls of the (earth) galaxy.
You got us the empire and now the republic. this is basically future to the past. Man I'm excited.
So this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause 😢
I like how you focused more on the politics side of the republic. It’s very interesting seeing what the separatists and republic each thought about the war. Great job!
This. This right here is the *pure* beating heart of what the prequels were. The core of their story condensed so perfectly.
The Empire, Rebellion, and now the Republic. I enjoyed all parts of your trilogy of tributes. Excellent quality work.
Eventually youll be able to put all the faction/era videos into a playlist in chronological order so we can have the full story
The ship alarms at 1:20 ish are a good touch
While I always found it interesting that the clone war only lasted three years, it began to seem even scarier when put into context. In a technological advanced society, such as that in Star Wars, the amount of destruction dealt in three years must have been beyond our comprehension.
Afterwards, the galactic civil war took another 7 years
Yeah but it was not at the same scale as The Clone Wars were. The most destructive events in the Galactic Civil War occurs at the very end.@@Commander-vf1lk
Don't you see the amount of socioeconomic destruction after 2 decades of foreign wars? Those wars are never about protecting the people. It has always been about controlling the people
@@Commander-vf1lkIn legends it took 13 years after the battle of endor which is a far more realistic and reasonable figure given the sheer power that the empire held even in such a fractious state and even still certain factions of the empire persisted and remained afterwards but they made peace with the republic which had become the dominant force in the galaxy by that point
@@SherlockHolmesb-kp4ru I'm guessing cuz they got more than +1.5 billion personnel & unaccounted civilians who support the Empire
you’re the most incredible editor. love everything you make; your content is so conscious of the core themes of Star Wars, and it’s beautiful. thank you for your work!
Oh it's beautiful ! (Director Orson Krennic)
feels like a warning for what's happening in the US right now
Trump flags reign across the country. Facism is on the rise globally.
Yep. Our rights being slowly eroded by the corupt while no one does anything about it. It's terrible.
Two days ago there was a communist demonstration in my town. Before it all started I went to ask them about it and told them that the communist were occupying our country just 35 years ago. They told me that if my grandgrandfather heared me right now then he would slap me into the face.
After that confrontation I went back into my school and had a lesson.
When I got back the demonstration started. I didn't want to believe that the people were listening to them just next to a anti-communist monument.
Your videos are always fantastic that first part gave me chills with the quotes you used. Always love to see your content!
Thank You. I love the Fact that you put in the perspective of the Separatists who were being exploited through corruption by Mega corporations and others in the Inner Core, extracting their resources by any means. This was Exploited to the fullest by Palpatine to get the Republic and the Outer core to destroy each other and then swoop in with his clone army and get rid of the Jedi and control the galaxy. No one won, both sides were tricked and Lost in the End.
It's utterly maddening how the edits in this line up with whats seen in our world today. Nonetheless, masterful job!
2025 plan moment
This video is, as grievous would put, “another fine addition to my collection” *puts videos into favorites playlist*
Its videos like these that remind me why this is my favorite franchise
“The world is coming undone “. Never feeling more truthful now 😢
Perfect. All the politics and fighting in 1 vid
Dooku knew that the Republic was going to fall in the end, but he never thought it would be his death and the defeat of the Sepratists, he trusted Palpatine and that's why he never actually tried to win the war, he was only weaking and distracting the Jedi and The Republic. Then Palpatine was like "Surprise mf" hahahahhaha
Yet another magnificent Star Wars entry, mate. Beautiful work!
A beautiful synopsis of everything leading up to A New Hope. Everything that makes Star Wars great in less than 8 minutes, including Jedi but not revolving around them. Masterfully done.
This is absolutely beautiful! Amazing work!
bro causually dropped the hardest star wars edit
Nice edit man fr. Now we need a First Order's tribute
Love this so much, especially all of the clips from Andor and Marva's speech! Can't wait for Season 2 of Andor!
This is why I love Star Wars
Thank you for this masterpiece of a summary!
3:59 THIS SEQUENCE IS SO GOOD! The battles lining up with the music is SO GOOD!
The moment at 4.00 ............. God the goosebumps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing clip in the video, but would have been amazing if it was the Sith code "Peace is a lie"
Incredible editing, great job!
Man I love starwars lore
Dude this edit is so good - it’s obvious how much work went into it just in the amount of content had to be gathered alone. Just this one part of the timeline could have so many of its own movies, series, etc. So many stories, especially in the ROTS-Andor years.
The crisis of the Republic is one of my favorite aspects of the entirety of Star Wars, and you've perfectly encapsulated it!
Every video I’ve ever seen from SWFT is a pure banger. Keep up the good work 🔥
Damn this is next level editing. Great great job!
This is a cinematic masterpiece, I've always loved your work, but this feels like something truly special because of how hauntingly scary the real world is turning into the empire on a daily basis. Well done on this edit you should be really proud 😁
Phenomenal once again! It's hard not to say this every time, but your work on this is groundbreaking! Your ability to portray every good story so well continues as an inspiration for myself and others with every vid. So good, my friend!
i love your work
If you didn't already know that Star Wars is the best story ever told.... here's the video to prove it!
Palpatine controlled BOTH sides. There was no way he could loose.
Very excited to see another great video, great work on posting alot this last month, it's not easy to do
This is a very well done video
Goosebumps through the whole video! I love your edits, absolutely amazing work!
this is amazing
the editing, transitions, the music along with the voice lines and dialogue from the shows and movies thrown in together is absolutley phenomenal and amazing
im speechless
this really makes me want to rewatch the entire star wars trilogy and the clone wars series
A VERY good synopsis of that Era. Fantastic!
goosebumps, literally goosebumps.
Franchement c'est hyper bien fait comme d'habitude
Each subsequent edit of yours is proof that there are no limits to perfection🔥!!!
So strong, emotional and powerful⚡
Awesome masterpiece 👏!!!
Holy shit this is so underrated.
Dang this is good. Maybe one day I can do something half as epic.
Woahhhh
This was incredible
Such gorgeous work !
You don’t even have to love Star Wars to get chills from this
I am so excited to see this! Your videos are always mind blowing
Brilliantly done!!!
Masterpiece!
*nervously laughs at the parallels in reality*
As always an absolute banger of an edit!
This video truly is a masterpiece. Well done.
For all the good that the Republic and the Jedi both accomplished over their many millennia of existence, nobody seems to remember them other than to disparage them as failures. So sad.
This is awesome
Oh it’s beautiful
The Death Star is the greatest power in the universe, but Palpatine is the sexiest. He is THE Prince, Machiavelli's wettest dream, the personification of elegance and the god of intrigue.
This was such a beautiful yet emotional montage about the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Empire.
Great job! Seems extra relevant with the war these days
Such a fan of all your videos! The music, the scenes!
Another fantastic edit man. Love your content, cheers!
Incredible work. Thank you
This was entertaining right from the start to the end. You can be very proud at this video you made, really hit me deep. WELL DONE!
These SW edits are superlative examples of mastery in storytelling!
Absolutely phenomenal edit man! Very very well done! That was fantastic
I love the work of this channel, please continue
you never disappoint.
This is so cinematically beautiful man, great job!
Wow! Another video masterpiece! They way you do your storytelling and summarizing is so neat! I love this!
What a masterpiece well crafted!
It's distrurbing how actual and topical this video is, considering we're probably at the doors of another global war
What a masteful edit once again, I always am amazing by them. Love your work!
I loved this edit so much!!!
Flawless tribute. You never fail to impress me.
That was insanely good, great job editing this.
Rip Grand Army of the Republic 😢
Awesome video as always!!! Was great to see and hear Padme ❤
