jesus fucking christ I've never had anyone tell me something so true about myself
Preach sister!! I never really fell into social media too hard as I live close to many of my life-long friends and see them often... if I didn't however, im sure things would be different...vr however is a different story.. I am a mother of three and I rarely get the chance to "go out", and vr has been a great option for me to socialize and meet new people.. how much is too much tho?! I've found myself doing this more and more, for longer amounts of time.. and if I'm being real, I've begun to experience somewhat of a tetris effect (seeing the games I play when I close my eyes, hearing the music in my head..) I know I need to take a real break, its just way harder than I had imagined it would be.. I still see my real friends, but instead of calling them to chat I find myself choosing to vr instead... more often then I'd like to admit.. which is strange considering my husband basically had to "twist my arm" to get me to try it.. I love vr! Its amazing! But just like everything else, we have to remember to know our limits, check in with our bodies and minds, and understand to much of a good thing, is always a bad thing.. much love everybody! Stay safe, happy and healthy!
I only use social media to post my work or talk to relatives who live in another country! I rarely post videos though!!!!

David Townshend yeah, that’s what I meant

But that's essentially what it is. You're sitting at you desk at home and pretending to be a stripper at a night club for 9 hours in Second Life or buying and selling virtual property in (StarCraft, I think) and all the paperwork and data sheets that entails. You're sitting at your desk and pretending to do something in a VR world, for a VR world, in exchange for real money. The only difference is that you aren't physically stuffed into a cubicle.
It's already happening. People are not using VR for corporate meeting from home and many others. For some, even use VR in their job - game model, designer, architect and much more.

Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one
-Albert Einstein
@@RIPxBlackHawk things that einstein said over 70 years ago are still being proven to be true today. hes not outdated, he was way ahead of his time
@@RIPxBlackHawk So does that mean the theory of relativity that einstein created, and explains most of what we know about the universe is also outdated?
@@RIPxBlackHawk His theories on relativity were way more than that
@@RIPxBlackHawk What would it have been called if he had not brought it up? People only know to call it the theory now because Einstein made his thoughts public and trialed it. Sure, one might have realized at some point that everything around them is relative and continues with or without them, but had it not been such an open thing, you may have not thought twice on that.
There is also reason behind why his methods were unconventional. He was a pioneer in this subject. Along with other people, they were the first to provide reason and 'science' behind relativity. Say you were to create something for the first time, like the first car or light bulb or even just a theory on something. You would make it in the way you believe works, maybe not the most efficient nor most accurate, but that just works. Now leave it for everyone else to work on. Ford Motor Company back when they created the Model T did not make the fastest nor most efficient production car to date, simply because they were some of the first to release a production car to the world. Einstein had the initial theory of relativity and worked on trying to prove other issues with it.
Of course, we should seek to find more recent theories that have worked on Einstein's. We should not however forget where he put his theory and where it has put us. There is no structure without its initial foundation, and there would not be the foundation of the theory we have today without Einstein. His theories at one point were important, but we will always be stuck believing one thing until another comes around to take its place. Just like coal and bio-fuel are having their spot taken little by little, one day a new idea may come around to take the place of Einsteins theory of relativity.
People believe in it now not as a means to blind themselves, but to simply know that what they are thinking is something they are not alone on. People use this theory as a basis to expand their ideas upon. People use this theory as a foundation on which they build their structure.
@@RIPxBlackHawk I am with you! The theories aren't perfect but are a good explanation for the time. In the future there will always be better and better theories that still have flaws.
Man went full circle. This is one of his better story times in my opinion 💯
