The idea is clever, I used it, it had a good result. Thank you for this link in the description

Excellent video. thanks. I have this same model and it doesn't find a GPS signal. What do I do?

The GPS signal works outside buildings and trees.

This is misleading at the beginning! the face is stuck down with adhesive tape (keeping it waterproof) and it does not come off so easily! cracking the screen is going to happen unless you weaken the tape bond somehow! be warned.

This is a BS video. I have personally removed the screens on two Forerunner 225's and believe me, they do not come off like he shows here.
The one he is working on has obviously had its screen replaced before, and was not secured by the original factory adhesive, as one can see from the spotty and sparse residue when he lifts the screen off from its seat around the watch 1:15.
In fact, it appears both from the way he's removing it, as well as judging from the spotty adhesive residue remaining around the screen's seat, that this screen was simply press fit back onto the seat with no adhesive used at all.
The reality is you cannot simply use a splunge tool or utility knife and easily lift the screen from its seat as he deceptively makes it appear here, as the grip from the factory adhesive will not allow it, and you will absolutely crack the glass screen if you attempt this as he shows.
The only possibility of weakening the factory adhesive is to get some 99% isopropyl alcohol, put it on a Q-Tip, and allow it to soak in around the outer edges of the screen for a good 5-10 minutes which will loosen the bonds of the adhesive first. Otherwise, be prepared to replace the screen, as it is made of glass, and it does crack very, very easily (more easily than you might expect) if you attempt to get some kind of thin, sharp metal implement underneath an edge somewhere and pry up on it.
Whatever adhesive, if any, was used on the replacement screen he's attempting to remove here (for a second time), it was certainly not secured by either the factory adhesive, nor with the recommended B-7000 adhesive used for these battery replacement and screen repairs, and was obviously some kind of adhesive with much lighter tackiness to lift so easily as it did here, and even then, I suspect it was merely press fit back onto the seat to come off so easily as was shown here.
Don't be deceived. This video is an invitation for you to crack and ruin your screen, as he makes you think your screen will come off easily, with almost no effort, which is not the case.
I ruined 2 screens doing battery replacements on both of my Forerunner 225's, before I learned about the 99% pure alcohol trick which I'm planning on trying on the next repair I do in a few weeks.
I would also recommend replacing the original 3.7v 180mAh battery with a 3.7v 450mAh 361-00086-00 battery for a superior extended battery time (I can go for a 2 hour run, with the HRM and display light on the whole way, and 1 minute alarms turned on, and it doesn't even go down by 2%... ;-)
