- This is my favorite 2D Mario game. I had considered making the stoned version of this track to place at the end, but then... I didn't.
MP3: www.mediafire.com/?kwewtaypygi... - Hry
This remix is absolutely 1:1 to the original. Everything I expected to hear, I heard it. It's great.
To be fair, this is the same number of channels as the SNES.
BurningApple || Yeah, 8 channels.
Yet - it is a masterpiece - as all 8 voices of the SNES were sampling - whereas there's but one sampling voice (DPCM) here. The rest is square, triangle and sawtooth primitives, aswell as noise
As much as I love hearing the high-energy battle themes re-imagined in Famitracker, I'm finding that these calmer melodies are more rewarding in the long run.
This is one of the best renditions of this song.
I just bought this game the other day. As a newcomer to the Yoshi series, I must say it was a welcome surprise! The graphics, gameplay, and of course, music, fit together in perfect harmony! This remix made my ears happy. :)
Good luck beating the game 100%. Trust me, you're gonna need it.
The transition to 8-bit is flawless.
this is such a pleasing remix to listen to
So... Nostalgic...
This 8-bit version of the song is perfect, coatlesscarl!
Now if only someone could hack this into Yoshi NES.
Wouldn't be possible... This has extra sound channels that the nes couldn't handle. The nes only had 5 originally.
@@FireCat_P Japanese cartidge and sound expansion?
Theres a 90's yoshi NES game?!
@@grasstails9737 yeah it’s a puzzle game
@@grasstails9737 Also on the Game Boy
It's so happy~
YEs! i agree! ive never played this game, but im gonna get the gba version
YOSHI!
+TheMegaBusterz may be too late but, in my opinion, the SNES version is better. The greater screen real estate and the couple extra channels of sound are worth it..
+TheMegaBusterz YO YO YO YO YO YO YO YO YO YYYYYYYYYYOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIII
wow!
+Andrew Cousins I think the sound in the GBA version is better because yoshi actually has a voice and not that weird boing sound when he jumps
I just realized... this sounds like Onett from Earthbound.
Ikr
Yes, but when you use the DPCM channel, it alters the volumes of the Triangle and Noise channels. And lower octaves of Triangle waves are quieter than higher octaves.
So with these two things in mind, I try to find the best balance between bass volume and DPCM clarity when deciding on an overall volume for a track.
totally awesome....reallly dude...this is amazing...thanks for sharing...
:D One of my favorite songs from this game! And youve done it so well! Another great one! Good job!
Couldn't agree more, all about that volume control - best way to handle it! Also, cracking job dude, love it ^^
u made my day again :D
i want 2 play this again now XD
holy shit its so fast :o
great job, i love this a lot though
^_^ good times with great vibes. Thank you for the awesomesauce!
I think it was a good decision not to add the Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy, just because it would make it sound strange if it looped, (which I'm currently jamming out to) but otherwise this is one of the best works you have ever done, and that's saying a lot because I'm a big fan of all your covers.
I can never tell. I always plan to do one thing, and end up doing something completely different. For example, what started as a cover of Spirit Chaser from Rudra No Hihou turned into an OpenMPT cover of Level 6 from TMNT 3, which turned into Flower Garden from Yoshi's Island.
Astonishing 🤯!
You did this?, it's beautiful thank you man
Ooooooooooh, Rudra no Hihou... and what a track! I hope you do end up making it someday.
Anyway, this one (SMW2) sounds great! While it would certainly have been technically interesting to hear the stoned version, I'm glad you ended up doing this one :) Thanks for sharing with us!
THIS IS PERFECT
this remix is so good that youtube registered it as the gba port
This sounds soooo much like the original, it's like SMW2 all over again, but with a touch of coatlessness
I think it sounds amazing.
Aw god, so good
awesome
Wow, no dislikes. Well, it's no surprise either! This sounds awesome!
259 persons touched the fuzzy ;)
Don't jinx it!
+Chom20 now there's 338 people touched the fuzzy
Looks like 0 people read this comment yet. You know, the type to dislike just because they read this comment. For that sole purpose. They exist. Insanity.
Too late! already a dislike. but why?
My 2013 CZcams dream is for you to do a cover of Terranigma. Either the opening theme, or the Crystal Town theme. Well done!
What he said. The noise accompaniment also helps the DPCM sound crisper than it actually is.
This music kind of reminds me of StarTropics.
SUBBED. More of this please :]
Wow, it sounds so close to the real deal. I don't know how this program works or how do you do this, but I can say that you're amazing. Keep it up!
is your looking for NES (pulse type NES) sound, this is square and it has expansion chips, so you might want a diff. video..BUT WAIT!!! ITS STILL 8 BIT!!!
0:10 *_yoshi screaming_*
0:09 *screams in 8-bit*
Added to the description.
My covers are all done at really low volumes, so I don't have to amplify the imported WAVs and distort them. I don't think I use a volume higher than 5 for this particular cover.
oh my god
With the way Famitracker handles tempo, I could opt for either a bit too slow or a bit too fast. It lost a lot of its bounciness when it was slow, so I decided on the latter.
I would love to use this masterpiece on a behind the scenes video!
Sure, go ahead.
Ty c: I will link you the video when it's done.
Do, do, da, de de...
Happily sinnnnnging aloooong! :D
'Dat DPCM
I don't think I've done any 2A03 only Mario Galaxy covers.
Wow, this is kinda weird... I was playing Yoshi's Island on GBA the day before this was uploaded.
Hey hey, what tracker do you use to make the turtle manhatten project tunes? Theyre all quite good and id like to play around with that one :D
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
this is square but it still sounds like pulse...
This is starting to sound 16-bit 0_0
haha yes le funy meme
sorry for spamming your channel, but doesn't the bass channel only have one set volume on NES?
Could you upload the .ftm file? (you dont have to of course) im really curious how you made this, and the screen recording's quality is just..... kinda bad
What chips did you use to make this (FDS, VRC6/7, et cetera).
0:10 when your NES breaks
Open ModPlug Tracker, also known as OpenMPT. You'll need to know how to rip your own samples, though.
mp3 link pls?
This is really good, more or less on par with DJ Bouche's version. But you do have em beat with the cleaner samples.
I think I speak for everyone, you should definitely write up some guide. (Provided you haven't already?)
What will be your next project?
Is it free to use though
Yoshi's Island: Sega Master System Pirate music
yu gi oh girl anime too || Master System?!?! lmao the Master System can't even do the half as this can.
The SMS couldn't do this without some archipeggio going on, and even then, it wouldn't sound this close.
I feel with the SMS FM chip, it would pretty close tho.
Kinda reminds me of Stardew Valley? What?
This sound strangely too much like the original. But.. Erm. I like this one better.
FTM?
No NSF or FTM? Sad :(
