this is what i hoped i'd see on the internet one day and that day has come! that is a very important message and more people should see it! come on, people, spread it!
wow Anzhelika - thank you so much!
don't spread spam
This is what you hoped for ?
As a creator of positive music I really enjoyed this!! Thank you for sharing your words
And that for me as a songwriter is one of the most inspiring videos I have watched recently
Would love to se an MRI scan of my brain when i listen to my favorite songs
Amazing video! I completely agree with Dr. Fadlallah that we should be mindful of what we put into our music as artists. Words carry power and making a feel good "hit" song is more than just a catchy tune, it helps people connect. This is one of the best videos that has come up on my recommended section to date!
Oh my god... i have no words to tell how amazing this guy is.
Sus
I had a tear come up twice brother !!!! You are the man !!!!!!
This Tedx talk is incredible to me. This will have changed my approach to making hit music. Thank you Dr. Fadlallah
This world is both good and bad.
You cannot trump the toxic, but you can live with it in duality. All emotions are needed. That is why we have them.
“It’s just a thought..” , then we close the book and move to the next thought.
Sometimes it’s good to be happy. Sometimes it’s good to be mischievous. Sometimes it’s good to search for that one song that makes you want to be alone.
They all serve purpose.
Agree
I absolutely loved this message! I am so excited right now. This was brilliant.
Very well put! I am in charge of a youth group and will definitely share this with them!
Very Inspiring brother. Thank you!
Absolutely amazing. You have just helped me answer a question Iv'e had for years. Also drawing on, do we separate the art from the artist.
Love this talk🤩
slept on. passion undeniable
hip hop is its own culture that was made from a African American perspective of poverty and urban life. no different than other cultures whos music comes from their perspective.
I always knew that HIT SCIENCE was here. Incredible
it's all about the emotion.
What is the intro soundtrack?
The masses are mainly attracted to nice, fun, simple and positive aptitude
This is exactly the ted-talk that I have been waiting for! I myself am also a hip-hop fan who has been contemplating my stance as a listener to mainstream hip hop. It has brought me a lot of new perspectives and more things to think about. He had a great stage presence and I would definitely follow any other things this man has put out. I applaud and thank you.
Amazing content! Thank you!
Amazing speech!
Thank you!!!
This was unbelievable !
I was friends and sometimes pretty close with this guy in middle school and high school, he was a very social person, interesting to see he's on ted, we graduated high school in 05, his father was our principal for a time in middle school and high school
This!!!! Amazing!
Craaazzzyyyy inspiring...
When you get too high and into your topic.
Anyone know the intro song??? Should be in the destruction but isnt.
what is the opening music??
That intro 🙏
Woah
Good Talk bro!
Ahmed brought me here! This was awesome!
Which Ahmed?! Thank you so much :)

very well put
Good saying I love it
Ayye I was at that show too
powerful
4:00 👌👌👌
I remember uPlaya, the website that used Hit Song Science. They did a feature article on me as their featured artist because my album at the time had been analyzed by their software and I had more top rated songs than Norah Jones on 'Come Away With Me.' Not sure what happened to this company though, uPlaya is no longer a functioning website.
Thank God thats really not valuable or revolutionary
There was 999 likes on this video before i clicked in the 1000th one
10:40 !!!
This is someone policing artistic freedom masked by enthusiasm and a PhD. Cultures and their music are influenced by themselves, and what he is conveying is to manipulate the artists creative freedom to push this ideology he has on how people should listen to music.
Agreed. Couldn't get past his statement about the "diversity in hip hop" - there is fundamentally no diversity in hip hop. The hood is the hood, and hip hop is about being in the hood, or getting out of the hood.
8:25 OHHH NOOOOO!! Snapping on beats 1 and 3.....
TheRoneZone 😭😭 always the 2 and 4
anuu Haha, yes!
he talks 95% about himself and his experiences, rather than explaining anything about the science of a hit song
OMG that went downhill fast... I expected a lot from the title, but around the middle of this video I was already thinking to myself "Is he serious, or is this some kind of parody?"
The title misled me. He's preaching the redemptive power of religion. I don't buy it.
Not Given: Who put you in charge? Rethink your stance, mate. If you're religious, go pray.
nope. definitely not about religion
Music is a language that you use to share your story it depends with the words you'll use I don't believe in music shaping you am out😎
@@notgiven3114 , you sound so self-righteous it makes me want to puke.
I wish he wouldn’t use tone and just give it straight
The way he’s speaking feel like trying too hard to cover the empty shells behind his words
I enjoyed the message, other than all the god references. Too bad he mixed music with his religious beliefs.
I don't understood anything usless video
Nothing to say so i yell
explaining the worst music in the past 30 years..kind of
1. this guys voice is annoying
2. the vid should be renamed "hip-hop shaming"
I agree
Cause he never big upped any rap.
Doctoral studies at Harvard, and he doesn't know the correct use of the word "phenomena".
Sorry, I can't manage to listen to anyone who pronounces, "button," as, "buh'in." You're not four. Learn to speak properly.
Also... He sounds like he's trying very, very hard to _sound_ like he's excited. He's not really excited. He's just putting a lot of wasted effort into attempting to seem excited.
what do you mean by four?
@@abccolony ... age four.
