In today's new car market? Right now I'm attempting to purchase vehicles for A hedge fund manager Who is slipping vehicles past Whatever they have to be slipped past in China to be sold there. Sounds like a pretty easy job right? It's not.. I'm in Canada and I'm on the waiting list for the new land cruiser at every Toyota dealership from gander Newfoundland to Victoria british Columbia. And I even had to register with Toyota Canada.. But the second I tried to grab more than one. They're gonna slam the breaks on me I know it.
@@kevinkenny5663waiting list for a Toyota!!!!! 😂
I've worked in the industry for over a decade and I'm in Canada not in the United States. I'm on a pre-registered list for the new land cruiser. I can't even give a deposit from.
Gander Newfound to Victoria british Columbia.
And I'm also registered with Toyota Canada. I need at least 5 extended Cadillac diesel escalades. And when a sales person hears I've got a couple 1000 bucks for deposit.
The rest payable on Delivery. So thanks for clearing up serious for me.
And I love how you think you can call head office and talk to the boss.
when i want to find out about a product i go to the source. when i called my advent calendar company, i didnt call their african office, i called straight to germany. to the town/city they started. to the help centre of origin. not some outsourced partner who decides to use indian oursourced call service with a predetermined script. common sense.
This is why you find an owner and offer them more than they paid. At least if they say yes, you actually get the car. No dealer BS. I’ve never bought from a dealer and I don’t think I will.
Them crooks at Rolex pull this sht off with watches, but to go from 5k-20k watches to 70k 150k cars should be considered a crime.
$5-20k is a lot of money for most people, should be a crime as well
Not even that. You have to apply for a watch. Maybe in 3 years they will call you back.
Porsche would've never done that...
Porsche not, but the dealership. They get an allocation of how many GT3 RS they can sell and can then decide on their own who they sell it to.
No it’s true. Porsche are snobby arseholes
Rolex does the same shit
Right… The problem is the American car dealer system. Too much power is in the dealers hands.
The dealership finessed the shit outta him. I’m pretty sure u have to own a Porsche, Porsche watch and be a known client at your Porsche house.
Then the chances are pretty high, that you can get one.
What I don’t get is. A guy bought 8 Porsches instead of flying to Germany or contact a Porsche house in Germany and do business with them..
If he said Ferrari it would have been more believeable
Well, Ferrari’s don’t have the prestige a Porshe has, and also getting a Ferrari is not that much of a big deal if you have the money to spend. Owning a Porshe is not about having the money to afford it.
@@RA-fb5szFerrari is a more prestigious brand than Porsche, they're the most successful team in the pinnacle of motorsport racing, they have good amount victories at Le Mans as well. They don't cater into mass market products like Cayenne, Macan, Panamera, Taycan or Cayman/Boxster. And owning a Porsche literally requires lesser money than owning a Ferrari.
This is still believable, plenty of stories about Porsche dealership making such demands.
It's definitely true. Go to a dealer and try to buy a gt3 rs and see what happens. They probably won't even sell you a 911 turbo much less a gt3 rs as a first time walk in customer.
This is true!
The problem is that Porsche only produces an extremely limited number of them each year. This means the car dealer gets the allocation from Porsche for 2-3 GT3s this year. The dealer now has to decide who he will sell it to. He has many long-term customers with countless purchases and then the person mentioned in the video comes forward who apparently has never bought a Porsche there. Of course, he first has to build up trust and loyalty, which countless other potential buyers have already done
How to get a Lawsuit and lose a rich customer in one easy step
Lawsuit? What would they sue for. Its not like they scammed the person. He was dumb. Thats it.
Conditio sine qua non test
All of Porsche’s customers are rich. They don’t give a damn about that guy
@@captain_context9991mutual agreement which was broken. He can sue
If they got it in writing then yeah there's a suit. Else no chance
Yet CZcamsrs like Matt Watson from Carwow, who has never purchased a brand new Porsche before, get a location and recently took delivery of he’s GT3 RS.
That guy is so annoying aswell
Complete BS.
@@flatsix245true this is the kinda of stuff that only Ferrari does for the more limited edition.

CarWow is very famous and influential on CZcams. Companies don't wanna miss a big opportunity to Collab with a big social media influencer. The channel averages 1 million views per video....that is straight free marketing for any companies.

Lool this guy sounds like he is talking out of his phat seams. Noone would spend a million to get disrespected like that
If you are loaded and want a gt3 its possible. Because you can literally tax write off most of the cars as a business expense
If you have 50m and/or a business 800K is nothing.
800k to peasants like ourselves is mammoth money, but its chump change for more people than you could imagine. So much so. You've got people who will frivolously spend 10m on useless shit
The world has gone crazy😂
You just said he needed to buy at least 10, but only bought 8....
Similar story to the guy who was promised a Patek Phillipe Nautilus 5980/1R-001 if he built up a purchase history, over 18 months he purchased 3 watches and some jewellery, the promised Nautilus never arrived. The dealer kept stringing him along, when he bought the second watch the dealer knew they were loosing authorised dealer status and would not be able to deliver the promised watch, but that didn’t stop them from selling him a third watch and some jewellery.
Then theres matt watson getting one on finance 😅
😂 first person I thought of
‘A fool and his money are easily parted ‘
When I was a kid, our neighbour paid me to paint his porch out back. He gave me a bucket of brown paint and a brush and I went to work, though afterwards I had to let him know it was actually a mercedes, not a porch.
I have a guy in my town that owns a 3rs, we live in a very small town. He is the coolest guy around fs.
That's surely a lawsuit waiting to happen a dealer can't deny the purchase of a vehicle...unless you're like hella sketchy
They didn’t deny it. There’s specific allocation. Put your deposit down and if there’s enough for you, you’ll get it. If not get will refund the deposit. Can’t sell what you don’t have.
They can deny and purchase at any time.
You’ve clearly not got a clue how retail works 😂

Impatience. But more likely wanting to show off in the latest model. Euro lottery winner maybe? Not the way a self made rich person usually behaves.
I find this hard to believe. Just visited my first Porsche dealer with my nephew this weekend. I am not someone with the means to purchase a car from them. The sales rep was extremely polite and nice, showed us around and gave us a couple lanyards. So my first experience with Porsche was outstanding.
I’ve taken the gt3rs on the track, best advice is to save all those thousands and just have a weekend of fun taking one out.
Jesus Christ what’s all this bullshit nowadays rolex won’t let u buy a watch from there shop long waiting list now Porsche doing exact same thing what we all should do is stop buying there cars and it will soon hurt these dealerships blackmailing customers
Please don’t blaspheme the name of my God

You can go into a Rolex shop and buy a Rolex rn. Last year my neighbor went to a Porsche dealership and bought his first Porsche, a GT3RS. This video is BS
@@autozone5695i have a feeling this video is BS. Gt3rs in essence and super special not like it was a one in 50 which i understand but gt3 rs is surely porches bread and butter
Porsche only want the “famous” & “noble” to own their RS models.. they’re by invitation only for a reason. It also keeps their RS models relevant & high in value.. seems they’re so hard to get hold of.. regardless if you have the money or not. CZcamsrs have purchased RS models.. and some of them are barely old enough to shave.. so buying 10 models is absolute nonsense & just a stalling tactic as the dealer tried to make the hurdle to get one so hard.. he ignorantly expected the guy to back down & he didn’t. RS models are their flagship vehicle.. the way Porsche see it.. the people that drive them.. carry Porsches best face of makeup.
Not true. Quite the opposite. They want enthusiasts to own their cars. Even said by the ceo himself.
@@neeravreddy9360 lol… so anyone that’s an “enthusiast” can just order a RS yeah?… 😂🤦🏽♂️ stop talking nonsense. You have to have a platform or be somebody that’s credible to even be considered.
@@viiviqa no BUT they usually are more of a priority

The CEO said what he needed too on camera for “equality” reasons as being a blatant snob on camera is bad for the companies image & most definitely their stock price. The proof of what types of people get these cars isn’t who’s on the waiting list.. it’s who takes delivery of them.
This is completely BS story buddy LOL, my neighbor went to the Porsche dealer and purchased his first Porsche. Guess what, it was a fully speced GT3 RS. Whos the moron saying you need to be famous to buy a GT3 RS?? LMFAO
Even if this story was true it would have nothing to do with Porsche as a manufacture, the dealer would be making the decision to have practices like this, so making claims about what Porsche values as a company based on how their dealer conduct imaginary business is dumb lol.
ANYONE can go to any Porsche dealer and spec out a GT3 and they will get you one.
Please, I implore you to call a dealer and see for yourself.
You really think Porsche would decline 200k+ in hopes that they can get the customer to spend 750k? So what? Only the obscenely rich can buy the GT3 RS? What a moronic business practice.
And even if this wasn't BS, why wouldn't you just go to a different dealer?
Have some common sense lmao

To buy so many turds to get allocated a super weapon is self defeating
I still dont think bro will go hungry
Same thing happened to me last year, walked into Porsche Nottingham to spec up a GT3RS with the Wissach package, then I get this jumped up tosser telling me I can’t just walk in off the street & spec one of these!!🤔
After 20 mins of him saying I had to buy cars & then sell gem back to them when trade in time came round I finally lost my shit with him, told him to FO & went & bought a plot of land & built 5 5 bed houses which made me a lot of profit!!👍
saw a video yesterday of a guy proofing the car market (including porsche) is on a decline. he showed porsche listings on autotrader and the cars don't sell even after a few price reductions
Dang, I traded in my 997t for a 991t and a year later got a gt3 on order, hopefully in the next year I’ll actually receive. But having to buy 10 extra vehicles to get the one you want is stupid especially with the dealership markup nowadays
and this, kids, is why belief systems still work.
ONLY reason Porsche did this to him maybe this people brought car and didn't drive and sell on
Sounds like he’s Porsches client and your customer, right stock right time
Not surprised one bit. Know multiple people where Porsche told them to buy this and that just for GT3 allocation let alone an RS.
Greatest salesman ive heard of. Thats fucking epic if true.
Porsche are the Rolex of automotive industrie.
Porsche requirements for a low horsepower carbon fiber sports luxury car is crazy😂
I saw a gt3rs with papertag that slapped the wall at COTA being towed. Brand NEW
the 3rs was just a leverage point for the porsche dealers to empty their taycan stock 😂
In india you pay twice theprice due to taxes, but they let you spec it and buy without too many conditions
I work at a luxury dealership and we have a GT3 for sale rn!
I think Porsche didn't manipulate him, but rather it's the salesperson. It's because the sales gets commisions when they sell a car and this is just a cheeky trick to get many cars sold.
Marc Mccan tried to get one too, finnaly he realized its too dificult and expensive in the traditional way and flipped his Lamborghini Urus for a gt3 rs with a reseller.
Sounds like my marine recruiter got a job selling porches
really common in the luxury car, watch, bag market...

This absolutely not a true story. Anyone with that kind of money would know the first rule of any transaction like this would be to have it all in writing.
bro bagged that commission.
Have a client that bought one after buying one Porsche. He had it fully race spec'd. Canadian ways.
Porsche dealers behaving like Rolex dealers
He got done DIRTY!😮
Porsche have a lot of long time loyal buyers who will get priority. It’s after decades of ownership you earn the right to drive a limited run model, so that not just any upstart can have one.
Just buy it at a slight premium after the deliveries start, it's a GT3RS, it'll apreciate anyways. The only bad parr besides paying a little extra is that you don't get to spec it, but a GT3RS is a GT3RS
The point of being wealthy is have the freedom to have anything you desire without stipulation
That’s why you _GET IT IN WRITING_
You have to understand there was NO PROMISE. Every sales meeting in these companies at one point during the meeting someone will say, “Never say promise”. Your client is lying
And I thought growing up in the Gaza Strip was tough - but this just gives you a whole new perspective, is there a crowdfunder we can help this guy out?
Bravo, the dealer network system in play!
Porsche took a look at how Rolex and their ADs work, and thought, yeah, we can apply that to cars.
Every time i see someone driving a Porsche gt3 rs i know they rich rich 🤑
There’s a sucker born every minute😂 “just buy two or three more and I promise it’ll be guaranteed”
After buying outright or financing 8 vehicles and creating sales and revenue and commissions for the sales guy and dealer, it is pretty pathetic that they couldn't or wouldn't do the guy a solid and secure a Gt3rs ..I'm pretty sure there are enough made 1 for atleast 1 dealer. Most likely they've lost a long term customer and future porsche enthusiast..if this really happened horrible on them!
