Funfair - A Family Tradition (The Anderton & Rowland travelling fair)

- In the summer of 2018 I set out to make a documentary, shot over a couple of days on a iPhone 4s, on the subject of this iconic Devon based traveling fairground. Featuring interviews with the fairground staff along with archive footage.
Had the pleasure in meeting George and simon when they visited our village feast celebrations in st day . Genuine people
I used to see George a fair bit when I lived in the bay, not been down for a while, glad he’s still active. I do see Simon a fair bit, especially down the beach front cafe that keeps him busy. Both have said they loved this documentary and are often reminded of it from those visiting the fair. Thanks for the comment.

I was just trying to tell my bf about how I went to the fair when I was little (he doesn't know what a fair is) and I tried to explain the magic of Rowlands... it was the last time I ever saw my dad... I was 8, it was Christmas is Oxford and it had been snowing, my dad knew some of the people working there, they gave me a massive balloon with a Teddy bear inside it. Rip dad. x
Visiting a traveling fairground today is like a time machine, where you are able to remember those magical moments, spent as a child, very much like the one you shared and I want to thank you for sharing such a lovely memory of your father here.

BUT WAS THAT NOT ALL THE FUN GOING TO THE SEASIDE WHEN WE WERE ALL YOUNGER VISITING THE FUNFAIR AT THE END OF THE SPECIAL DAY.

This is the complete cut. The original cut was edited to competition rules and entered into a one minute documentary film competition. Considering I had shot this project over a period of several days and, because of the kind cooperation and enthusiasm I received from the The DeVey Family, I felt it was my duty to release a full version.
