There was actually two separate cases. One had paint and the other didn’t. The painted one was a gift and requested that way

I was making them for a while and then life got busy again lol
In heinsight would it have been better to use toungue and groove boards ? are you not concerned the different species of timber will expand and contract differently eventually causing gaps or buckleing?
It would be stronger with T&G, sure but this thing has been rattling around in a non temperature controlled trailer for years. No problems yet :)

I pulled them from an old road case ;)
