I live in Chiapas, Mexico. We build houses out of concrete and our coldest day of the year could be around 10C... Yet, this channel is the reason I walked into home Depot and walk out with the biggest XPS foam board I could buy and even a bigger smile on my face... Congrats! 🎉

Hey man - just finished watching the video and wanted to show some appreciation for your channel. It’s easy to take hobby/maker channels for granted, but it’s really gratifying seeing your obvious passion (including your honest occasional frustrations!) and I really appreciate your commitment to making these videos so accessible and supportive to those who are just getting started or can’t afford much equipment. Those are fun in their own way, but videos like this are the kind of thing that helped inspire me to try out hobbies when I was a kid and still encourages me to believe it’s possible as an adult without a ton of free time or money.
I know making these videos to such high standards takes way more effort than we tend to think about while watching them, but you are inspiring whole new generations of artists when you do.
I’m glad you’ve found such success, and hope you find more - you deserve it!

You know, if you made a jig not for cutting, but a basic form to build around then pop out when everything was glued together you could make the inside arc much easier and more consistent in opening size. That suggestion aside, this is a great way to build arches, and one I will be trying for myself. Thank you for sharing.

Hot glue and I have a bit of a... contentious relationship... so I would probably use my Fabri-Tac. To hold it together while the glue is drying, I had the thought of running a wire through the centers of the bricks. That could possibly also help me fiddle with getting the shaping right before adding the glue.
Oh, and per your add, Winnipeg was the first place I saw heater block sockets in a hotel parking garage, so yeah, I'd say it gets pretty cold there. (My friend in Dauphin might argue about _coldest_... but he isn't here right now.)

I cut a cilinder on the proxon. Then i cut in that cilinder a smaller cilinder that has the depth of my stones. The next step is to cut the cilinder in half and from each half i cut slices. I glue a half cilinder onto 2 rectangular pieces that serve as the pilars of my door. Now i have the shape of a door. The only hing left is to use u knife, a pencil ( all hail geboom) and tn foil to shape and texture the bricks.
