Well said Julian, Captain has been my drone Bible for a few years. I have purchased the Deerc22,Holy Stone 600 and the Dji air2s in the past year after careful review of the products, from unboxing to flying to tips and tricks along the way the Captain has ya covered. I've been exploring the idea of getting into flying fpv indoors to start, my indoor flyers at the moment restrict me to line of sight flying without camera and a monitor. Happy Flying!

NOTE: One item I accidentally left out of the video during my edit process. You can put a Micro SD card in the drone and record video footage through the front pilot camera if desired. The recorded image is similar to what I see in my FATSHARK goggles but without the ON SCREEN DISPLAY information. In my test the footage did not look as good as the INSTA360 GO camera, so for the review I used the INSTA360 GO camera instead. If you don't own an external camera then the onboard DVR is useful.

@@Ezio470 Not really since it take a big 3S battery. This means if you add more weight to the top (i.e., a camera) then you can just add less weight in the battery department. I found it to have plenty of lift power so I'm sure it could lift a GO2 if you know how to fly. If you are a newbie, you'll just destroy your GO2.

Eachine's Novice 3 looks like a small FPV drone that is going to fly pretty fast.
It is good for having fun and to learn about basics, for beginners.
This is the FPV drone with many features and the best thing is that, it comes with an RTF kit!
There is no doubt that it is not going to disappoint!

Had two of these over a few months. things to note: it is very very fast at full throttle, must be like 80MPH, the default rates are very twitchy set at abound 1000dps. that is crazy for a beginner, you might want to lower them in betaflight, the vtx overheats and shuts off very very quickly on anything over 25mw if you are not flying (recommend setting the low power till armed thing in betaflight), there is no gripper tape for the battery so you need to put some on yourself or the battery will be flying out anytime you do something flippy. the first model I had the gyro died after a few flights the current one OK. its great fun little quad really good for freestyle.

After flying this for a number of months now, and trying all sorts of other sub 250g bnf fpv race, freestyle, cinewhoop drones in the meantime, i initially did not appreciate how good this thing is.
If you are wanting a small sub 250g freestyle that can even carry a small camera (eg 360 go 2 or peanut) this is an amazing choice. I think it is all about the tune. The tune on this thing is phenomenal and makes if feel like a much bigger more powerful freestyle drone. I really recommend this drone. (not the goggles tho) But I would say it is not for pure beginners. it is for those with some FPV freestyle experience. At least in DCL / DRL other sims. anyway great drone

That is a great kit! It's a bit pricey for a poor novice like myself but you do get a lot for your money. After xmas all of the disposable income is gone so hopefully it will still be reasonably priced in six or eight months. Great video of how smooth it flies and the distance is incredible! Once again, you leave us wanting!

Very brave again to get out in that temp and great video! We are supposed to be dipping down to single digits tomorrow and my plan is to stay in as much as possible even though I want to re-do my test flight of my old Syma X8sw lifting a go pro. I managed to not hit record (used to controlling mini 2 camera in flight) and it took right off to my surprise. As soon as I went for some altitude and got above tree line the wind took it and I got it back down enough to crash into trees not too far into the woods behind my house. No damage but I didn't hit record before takeoff 😞 Will be trying again in a much more open park and using the go pro app for camera control/remote view!

I bought the Novice 4 after watching your review! 😍 It flies great, I’m getting lots of virtual practice using the simulator ‘Liftoff’ before my next ‘real’ flight when it warms up! 🤣

I recommend 100 hours on sim before first flight, my first flight I had like 15 and was a disaster

Crashed mine into side of house at 20mph probably, it was fine. Super durable, 10 crashes at least and no issues. It's my first other than a mini2 so learning curve big time! Adrenaline pumper for sure!

I shoulda waited to get the Novice III v2.
I think they should have added a dvr for the headset though. I'm using a flysky i6 with my Novice ii v2 still, gotta buy a controller upgrade.
J4in1 controller would been more useful also, except they're sold out for a while now, suspecting the shortage on that.
I've done half a backflip which ended up as a backflop, Eachine built it tough.
1 thing I gotta say forsure, *_glue down your antenna._*
What's wrong with the fs-i6? I think they're a good controller, a classic, that can be do everything you need basically and use for many drones and could last you well into intermediate even advanced flying. I'd be more worried about upgrading those goggles and antenna first if I was you, then get some new drones to try. Maybe a 5".
Don't have to get sycked into spending all your money on the newest gadgets all the time when don't even need them imho.
Anyway, it's your choice.
I accidentally edited out of the video that there is a DVR in the drone (you can put a micro SD card in the drone and record the image seen through the pilot camera).

Looks like the lil quad is being really floaty in cold weather, by simply adding expo about 0.55 and lowering throttle mid to maybe 0.25ish one can get fantastic control out of this sorta toothpick rig.
"Floaty" could very well be due to big gloves on my hands touching tiny joysticks while trying to look through fogged up lenses :-)
I’m waiting for mine to be delivered except for I got the toothpick version which is 2 1/2 inches and comes with 10 batteries looks like a pretty good controller and the same goggles that you got with that one check it was like almost $200 can’t wait to try it out but right now it’s 27°F here in Cleveland Ohio USA

One question I have for is if someone is buying their first drone would this drone be a good one to start with or would you recommend a bigger drone for a starter drone for a first time drone buyer? Your comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
It depends. This drone is part of the FPV hobby. That hobby is considered the ADVANCED hobby in the drone world (it means you need skills and knowledge). If you just want to fly a drone with no skills or knowledge, then you want to go into the CAMERA Drone hobby. Those are the drones you buy off the shelf at Walmart or Bestbuy, charge the batteries and fly like a pro because they have GPS in them (the drone does all the work for you). If going that route, get yourself the DJI MINI SE.
This is a great little fpv drone. I got it because of your review on it. I have had it for almost two weeks now and the problem I keep having is with the camera antenna. I have crashed a few times and had it pop off and I have hit it with the blades once or twice. I'm really knew to all of this but is there an antenna I can buy for it that's a little bigger, I guess?

Hey snow bird Canadian! FPV is considered the advanced drone hobby and requires flight skills. Everyone (including me) had to learn the FPV hobby by crashing and destroying drones, so I do recommend starting out with an FPV ready to fly kit that you know in advance you may destroy everything.
what is your opinion on these compared to the 2/4 versions of these rtf kits?
I want a proper FPV drone but I am holding out for the DJI FPV Mini which is I am sure soon on its way. Can cant be doing with the picture from the Analogue ones

One question though: which googles should I buy in order to be able to wear my eyeglasses inside ? As I've been young for a bit more than 50 years now ;-) I have both myopia and presbiopia... and nearly all comments I have read on googles said they do not allow to wear glasses... Would you have any advice to share? Thanks in advance !
Unfortunately you’ll find little info on FPV goggles and glasses for the simple reason that everyone has different size frames and head shapes, so it comes down to trial and error, or get small restaurant menu reading glasses. Box Goggles (big goggles with one big screen in the center) are inexpensive and are the kind that fit over glasses if large enough. Some expensive Fatshark small size goggles have individual focus wheels for people that wear glasses. Also, quality goggles can accept prescription lenses.

Captain, I been wanting to getting into fpv drones but there are so many RTF drones, I am so confused on what would be a good one to start out. I keep looking from Betafpv cetus pro to the EACHINE Novice 3 and Eachine & AtomRC AUK FPV. I would like something that I can grow with and not get bored with after I learn to fly. Help...and yes I keep watching your FPV for Beginners...I love all the info...
All pilots in the FPV hobby started at level ZERO. You just have to start somewhere and work your way up. Buying any of these ready to fly kits will just dip your toe into the hobby... you'll have to buy much more to continue.
i just got my cetus pro to christmas and its already broken. also you said on one of your vids that it could be bind in betaflight and you checked the settings and they are good... well you cant hook it to betaflight only the garbage betafpv configurator and i get no osd ... on the fc my bind switch is broken
