Thanks Khursheed Saab for bringing this treasure to public. Sadly it is not viewed to what it deserves.
Asad Ali Khan Saab was a treasure trove of HCM, with unbiassed view. He had guts n eagerness to explain otherwise such an occult art.
I was lucky to have interactions with him at many occasions. Such "Darweish" people are not to come back again on this earth.
In addition to knowledge he was very alert person with fine sense of humour.
At one place, I was chatting with him in green room before a concert.. suddenly he asked me Dr Saab kya bajaya jaay ? I had intense desire to listen to his darbari but did not reveal out of modesty. I just said kha'saab Jo aapka aur saaz ka mood Bane woh... He suddenly started a phrase of andolit mandra dhaivat from sa.. and just asked me "chalega ?' without any other verbal communication.. I was almost in tears. They were such a gifted n blessed people
May Almighty offer his soul the highest place in heaven !!
At one place, roughly 1:26, he says komal gandhar shudh kaise ho gaya. He actually means it for Madhyam. This clarification is only for those who are fresh entry in HCM.
