- Ustad Asad Ali Khan was born 1937 in Alwar in the seventh generation of rudra veena players in his family.Khan belongs to Jaipur Beenkar Gharana. Khan received several national awards, including the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1977, Indian civilian honor Padma Bhushan in 2008.Khan died on 14 June 2011.
