All those men and equipment for preparation to set up comms. These days it's all done on something the same size as your mobile phone. Back in the late 50's many of us local kids would play up in the dunes where there were the remains of a concrete pill-box. At times we would find blank bullets in the area which we would try to fire by hitting the shell case with a stone!!
