With the release of Chapter 2, I realized the full #DELTARUNE experience wouldn't be releasing all at once as we were told. Therefore, I'm going to be releasing these as the chapters release! As for Chapter 1, "The Beginning", it's a great introduction to a new yet familiar world, that lets us know that while #UNDERTALE is related, this isn't the world we're used to while retaining the exact same charm. We venture with new friends, while old ones reside around us. I can't wait to see what the rest of the chapters have to offer!

I think you being able to choose with Jevil is actually quite clever, you’re in his little freedom
Until you realize that if you did the fight both routes, there's a way to get the other item you're not already holding in that save file when chapter 2 starts, so even that freedom is false.

I'm actually pretty sure that's gonna happen. If you believe in the power of plot twists, which I do, it might even turn out to be the knight. I know about Kris' end game shenanigans in chapter two but after thinking about it I'm not entirely convinced.

@@dylanzlol7293 Because the HP bar isn't their ACTUAL health bar.
Think of it more like their "battle bar." It represents what they're willing to take. Once that threshold is crossed, they get out of there.
Let's use Jevil as an example of this. He refers to the fight as a "numbers game." Even after his "HP" reaches zero, he still talks to you calmly like he isn't even injured.
So when fighting Darkners, their HP bar is basically just the amount of damage they're *_willing_* to take. Not their health points. Lancer truly was about to die with that last hit, because he had no intentions of letting her fight his father.
@@CaptainCFalcon Actually, what about the Queen's chair thing? If you attack on Queen's battle, she says "but even if you deplete the health points (of my chair)", Which, not only implies the HP bar is THE Health bar, it also shows that we deplete the HP of each enemy

_Of the chair._ Queen was never in any danger, & hell, even after the chair is defeated, it still works & she uses it in the next sequence anyways.
So if anything, you've only proven my point further honestly.
Nice how you kept the voices from the Undertale video, and gave the new voices a similar style. Really helps Deltarune feel connected.
I'm definitely looking forward to see Chapter 2, and I might watch the two chapters back-to-back in the future. Waiting for every chapter after 2, though? Yeaaah...

It was originally planned for there to be a fight against it,
but Toby "got lazy" around this time and decided to blow it up instead.
(...though he brought it back for Chapter 2, in a similar role.)
Susie having a Shadow the hedgehog voice works so well I don't even have a cool joke to accompany the sentence. It just fits.
Hey, so the Jevil fight. The carousel attack is easily avoided by staying on the right and moving up and down with the bird things.
Yeah, if any attack is hard to avoid, it’s the knife spin when he adds the red one.

@@megafan2001 It only took me about an hour or so. But MAN was it irritating! It’s a miracle I even pulled it off because both Kris and Susie were down with like negative 50 health, yet somehow Ralsei was still standing with a quarter of health and I had enough TP to cast Pacify.

when rudy says in the hospital that everything scares noelle, he specifically mentions scary movies, which seems to be in direct contradiction to what chapter 2 has told us.
Not really, she's scared of the movies but still enjoys them. She makes it pretty clear in game

6:18 just to answer your question, even though you probably already know: The clue is that when you go back a room the music resets, implying you moved into a new area even though the music is the same. That being said it is pretty much impossible to find without a guide.

The first form of the carousel attack in the Jevil fight isn't that hard for me. It's the form where it's spaced out more and rises and falls super quickly that I find hard

At first, I thought it wasn’t necessary for a pastige, but it’s so authentic and pleasing to the ears that it feels less jarring than if the dialogue were just scrolling silently. Truly magnificent!

The floating eyes probably speak in morse code by blinking but we dont see them blick when talking, so maybe they blink so fast that you can only see the blinks from close view?
