- On today's episode of The Ultimate Mini we install a Forge Intercooler on to my Mini Cooper to help lower some intake temperatures and keep my car running smoother on the race track.

I got mine coming in on Friday I think. Gonna be fun to do it by myself. But probably not as fun as when I installed a catback by myself with about 2 inches of clearance under the car.
you should check out the difference in size between the forge and the OEM from the 2007-2014
love the videos! giving me a bigger itch to mod my f56! gained a sub. Just a heads up its not just euro cars with the undertrays xD i used to work for ford and they have like triple the amount of screws to hold them on its ridiculous
Mod it! It’s so much fun now that it’s stage 2.
And undertrays suck on all cars
The forge hard pipe makes the intake noises louder, I’m looking at ebc yellow stuff pads, lowering springs, intercooler, and a decent downpipe idk what I should be looking at next
I'm definitely looking into hard-pipes for the intercooler, but I've got other stuff I'd like to do first, like finishing stage 2 and getting coilovers
I too am in colorado and i too have a high horsepower f56 .... would love to tear the canyons up with ya friend lmk if you want a jcw squad mate for the canyon cut up nights
Hi It will also fit a mini clubman f54 1.5 3 cylinders
This will not fit the F54 with the 1.5 as the engine is different and the mounting points are not the same. I believe Forge makes one for the clubman 1.5 though!
Will you need a tune or get a check engine light when you install a bigger intercooler?
Intercooler you shouldn’t need a tune, but if you change the downpipe you will
I am thinking buying a forged intercooler for my bwm f30 did you have any iat logs or did you notice cooler temps for long pulls thanks
I don’t have logs for my stock intercooler, but on my forge I’m running 20-30°f lower than ambient temperatures on pulls

Yes you do. It’s super easy to do though
There is a clip at the bottom of the intercooler you're supposed to pry off on both sides . Nobody shows that clip. The reason you were having such a difficult time pulling it out. But your job is already done.
How did you paint your engine cover blue?
I used spraypaint. I have a video on my channel from a few years ago that shows how I did it!
These intercoolers are $200 on ebay right now
