CARS, TRAINS & ANYTHING I WANT!
Hi, I'm Rick (tall big ears) & sometimes I'm assisted by Lee (short wonky eye)
From late 2023 onwards the channel will need to diversify to survive, I find myself less able to commit to cars alone on here and more interested in general life experiences, so on the channel you may also see what I get up to in my life, or just see me chatting nonsense.
Be assured I'll always make the title and thumbnail appropriate to the video so if you're only here for the cars or trains you can ignore the rest. I currently own and run 2 older cars, AGATHA is a 1978 Austin Allegro 1300 Super & FIONA a 2003 Ford Focus TDCI. I do use a modern car too which is occasionally featured (It's a Kia) and a van (Fiat) The van can be found on it’s own channel “Rick and Heather Campervanners”
Lee's cars also make occasional appearances as do a few friends cars.

Well, I for one started watching your channel as I like and have owned British Leyland cars. The Agatha Allegro was a car I never had but wanted. As my car progression went on I tended to be more Maxi than anything. I'm sure I watch what you put out because it's you !! if that makes sense. CZcams is wonderful, awful , suprising but most of all it offers choice. I like you started watching folk for their content but now quite enjoy their company and their outlook, it can sometimes help your own situation. I for one as a long time subscriber just clicks the tab and join in on your commute to work, railway visits and your waffle.
It makes perfect sense as I said on the vlog myself I do the same thing! I appreciate your honesty thanks 🙏
Just be you Rick. If folks like it they'll watch. The channel is something you should do because you enjoy it, you'll never please everyone.
True but CZcams suggests to much diversity does hamper a channel, that said I can’t find the content for just cars so…..
Only done Jury Duty once way back in 2005, been cited the last 3 years on the trot but never picked, mind you i had a excuse last year, my father in law took ill and sadly passed away a few weeks later.
Been watching this channel from the start, and have to admit i like to binge watch it as I don't always have the time to watch when a video is released.
Just keep waffling, Rick ... always good just to hear what life throws up 😊... take care 🙏

I've done jury service twice now. Apparently the pool of eligible folk is decreasing due to so many people having convictions for minor offences disqualifying them.
Sounds about right, as I said it was an interesting experience although I’m quite happy not to do it again 👍
Driving down those country roads to work you wouldn't want a newish car Rick. Keep doing what you're doing, for those of us over 50 it's everyday life, and it's great to see we're not the only ones having a rant now and then.

Love a waffle Wednesday matey, please keep it up. Agree with what you said, add variety if it keeps the channel alive and don’t give it up! I’ve done jury service twice in the past and agree it affected me in ways I wasn’t expecting at all. Would I have missed it, nope. But would I do it again, hmmm not sure.

Great to see an update video. Glad you're doing ok Rick, even if the Jury duty wasn't much fun. I'm certainly not un-subscribing any time soon. Your content is always useful and interesting. Hi Rick,I watch the channel because of you ,cars ,trains and I like the waffle and all the everyday gripes/ sh#t that people of a certain age have to go through.it’s like watching myself in the mirror !!,wait till you hit 60 you advance a level of intolerance and sarcasm.

Ha! Yep definitely getting less tolerant! That said I’m more cross with myself really, I love doing the CZcams stuff but I just don’t like not being able to find the content or time on here, the van one makes itself really, this I have to manufacture to a degree.
I’m definitely considering just adding me chatting general crap or just anything and taking the hit if people leave.
Keep on chatting, it’s good to hear your voice. It’s not about content. When you pop up with a notification, we watch. I watched till the end. It’s every day stuff. Don’t worry about content

I enjoy watching your driving videos, like seeing the route, roads etc. Be nice to know from where to where you are driving seeing the surrounding areas. Nice to catch up with what you are doing as well as loving your Train Videos X

I’ve actually got a little idea forming about documenting my childhood and early years of places I played and lived, totally self indulgent but why not!

I started watching because your Channel was recommended and stayed because I like you. Like yourself, I cannot be bothered to upload content to my channel, it is hard work! I like to record, then upload, unedited, every thing I do is mostly on and from my mobile phone. Do what you feel comfortable in doing; I like and enjoy your Channel, I like you because you're "unfiltered". You make me laugh, chuckle, I enjoy that! Plus, I enjoy whilst your driving your beautiful English countryside, and going through the villages, totally different than what I am used to in my part of the US.

Thanks Rick, I think with making videos that are based on cars you have to be resourceful and inventive as you know, 2059 subscribers ain’t nothing to be sniffed at and they all enjoy your contenf.
I started watching a guy from Scotland who has a Triumph Dolomite and he seems to have all but disappeared but I still keep subscribed in the hope he brings some news about his “Dolomite”, he’s made about 3 vids in 2 years but I’ll still watch his old stuff.
You could just give us a Waffle Wednesday every so often maybe?

Yeah I watched a guy restoring a Land Rover and he just disappeared too, very odd! At least I’ll keep people informed whatever I do. The trouble with waffling is needing something to waffle about and it seems channels like Geoff buys cars have that sewn up.
I only watch because H said I had to😂😂 Seriously, I did a 2 week trial in 2020 just before lock down, it was harrowing and exactly the crime I said I didn't want to get but it was also interesting and a good laugh in the jurors room and I still think about the case now so know what you've been through. we had a laugh but I didn't make any friends because I'm a miserable git. Just got a call from the daughter 🙄 she got a puncture on her suv, jeez they are heavy and the tyres are massive and expensive 😢
My 400nm makita impact gun really struggled with it but did it so i don't know how they expect a joe soap to get the wheel off 😂
I must admit the wheels and tyres on the new van are a fair size…. Yep 55 is the new 60 😂

Yeah I’ll be honest I’m on the fence if I’d want to do it again but never say never…. As for the Wizards bless them I love G&E but I’m not interested in going the route of asking subscribers for anything bar a comment, I’ll take the odd paid promotion and if people slate me so be it, I’m still waiting for a bike 🤣
Hey…. do what you are comfortable with… others like me will have umpteen channels to stay on top of, I’m more likely to unsubscribe when I feel folk are trying to make up content or reproduce same content in different colours so to speak… it’s a “no worries” from me… I would like to ask for your camper channel…don’t get descriptions on my tv screen…
