This show is INSANELY good. It's only four seasons so hope you guys react to them all because they're close to perfection. It's absolutely hilarious, dark, heartbreaking, gory... you'll laugh and wince and clap pretty much every episode.

It only gets better. Very character driven and the characters are vivid, funny, and complex. One of my favorite shows of recent years.
You guys need to keep watching, you'll love it! It's so well written!
Bill Hader is a real cinephile and sprinkled little references to his favorite films throughout the series. I think you two will enjoy finding them, considering your love for film as well.

This show is phenomenal. Each season gets better & better. HBO really gave Bill Hader complete license to do whatever he wanted. Some episodes will have you in stitches. Some will leave you feeling you’ve been kicked in the stomach. Most will combine both. By the last two seasons Hader is producing-writing-directing-acting all of the episodes. Amazing one-take extended set pieces. The entire cast is brilliant. NoHo Hank is the best. A perfect series final episode. Obviously I’m gushing. I’m happy to see you react to this. Not enough CZcamsrs do.

Loved this show, it was weird and different while remaining consistently entertaining. Probably my favorite show in recent years.
As everyone has said: this show is beyond excellent! The writing, directing, acting, editing, cinematography...everything is second to none.
You guys are gonna love this show. Hader is just so good in this. You'll see a lot more emotion from Hader later as his character develops. Another show that is very similar to this is "Patriot" about a depressed spy. The humor is very similar and top notch.
funniest thing: this show and Better Call Saul are so incredible and similar that watching them simultaneously is the ultimate experience re: accountability re: self-mythology re: morality re: trauma re: masculinity

Absolutely follow through with this excellent series. There is an episode in the second season that was one of the most FUN episodes I’ve ever seen in any show I’ve ever watched.

Watch it! Every episode is amazing. There are high mark episodes, for sure, but when you hit those the next episode does not feel like a waster or let down (unlike other series). It is a story with a strong point of view and clear path to bring you through it as explores these characters.
Well regarded and rewarded show. I’ve been avoiding watching reactions to it (I’ve seen the first few seasons already) but I trust you guys to appreciate its light and darkness. Plus, Henry Winkler!!!

Nothing to say outside of what you've already heard or read. This is one is the best black comedy TV shows in recent history. Another example of us being in the midst of the Golden Age of television. I'll be here for every episode you guys drop.

Fantastic show. Really strange tone to it. It's ended now after four seasons and I can say that no episode is really wasted. The whole thing is very tight and focused. I think you guys will love it.

Hope you guys carry on with this show. I honestly think it's in my top 5 of all time. The dark comedy and drama is mixed so well and it gets heavier/darker as the seasons progress. It's also unpredictable and keeps you guessing.
Bill Hader is an extremely underutilized actor. He’s absolutely hilarious in his comedies, but it wasn’t until this show that I’ve seen him display incredible and heartbreaking and intense drama chops. It took me a little bit to get past my previous idea of him as a comic and fully accept his dramatic performances. After a certain scene happened, it became clear just how good he is in dramatic scenes.

How much they get you to hate Fuches is so insanely good. He deserves all the awards for his scenes.

Love this show…up until that last season, more specifically the second half of the 4th season. Just started really high and had a weird lull/drop off but everything prior is some great tv. Firmly believe had this ended with season 3 it would have been perfect

When I first saw this episode, I thought it was going to be my new favorite show, and I was right. It suffered a little from it's timing. If it had come out at a different time, it most likely would have won a ton of awards (it was nominated for many) a d been more popular. Unfortunately, it was out during the Ted Lasso phenomenon.
If you like the "hit man tries self-improvement" comedy subgenre, there's a great '90s movie called "Grosse Point Blank" that's like that.

very TIGHT writing and pacing. 30min and you are engaged. had a hard time not binge watching this ITS THAT GOOD

Not sure how it's spelt but i think it sounds like FEWKS.
Stick with it. My first take was very much like Tom's, it's something fresh and something different and that is something I'll always have time for. It might not always work out but they at least had the balls to run with it. Also, absolute scene stealing every time NoHo Hank is on screen. Anthony Carrigan has been nominated several times and it's a crime he hasn't won.

Easily the bleakest TV comedy of all time. So great!
I like Barry but it's bizarre to me that it's classified as a comedy. You know why? Because the TV rules say that half hour shows are comedies and hour shows are dramas. But many stories are more fluid than they used to be. Dramedies. To me a comedy means lots of laughs. Lighthearted fun. Barry does not occupy that space. The label doesn't matter except it felt wrong that it competed for awards in that category. I got more laughs from Succession!
It's a bleak, merciless comedy.
I wish they can just let go of that concept. Many complaints in the last two seasons that its not a comedy. As Bill himself says, he looks at it as a story first and foremost
