    Because of thios video i took the lid off our beko and saw that it wasn't the tube in this video but the pipe that goes from the bit where you put the liquid into the tub, it had slipped off a bit so put it back on and no more leaks and saved 300-400 quid!!!!!!!!!!! We were about to stick it in the garden and get a new one.
    Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!

    this litteraly solved my problem! had water everywhere... tried a pump cycle and simply was not able to pump through? Some (1st part) came trough the tube at the outlet but after that the pump turned on and of for 5 sec... no water coming out
    new program: LEAK again
    was about to call a mechanic and stumbled acros this video, such an easy fix... reconnected the tube and voila! no leaking
    save me a couple of 100 euro's should I have called a mechanic friday eve

    A small black rubber tube near the bottom and just inside the rear access panel came detached from whatever it was supposed to be attached to ( I am not certain what it was) on our LG frontload washing machine and flooded our laundry room, hall, kitchen, and basement. Yes, one small detached rubber tube caused all of that. I did not find any clamp, so I reattached the tube (to whatever it is) and taped it for extra security.

    Some fixes are very easy like this one but people still throws washing machines away tough because they don't know how to fix it

    • @bootsowen
      @bootsowen  Před 3 lety +1

      I am not sure that this is all that was wrong with this machine, It seems to stop at the pump out/spin phase quite often. I think i will throw a brick in it.

    Thank you so much for this video, I was ready to throw our washing machine out but thought I would give it a bash by trying what you had suggested. Turns out the same little black hose had fallen off ours too. I did try simply popping it back on & it worked on a trial run then unfortunately came off again. I read on another site that the pipe had no real use so I used a jubilee clip to clamp it off completely. So far so good (fingers crossed!). Thanks again! ❤️👍

    I would suggest that the small black pipe that came detached from the back of the tub is a vent built into the highest point of the drain hose that prevents back siphoning from the drain back into the sump of the machine. It is there to break the siphon action once the machine has finished pumping the water out of the tub, to ensure if there is water backing up the house drain, that this water is not then drawn back into the machine.

      When I had a Beko and would put it onto a drain only when the machine was completely dry. After it finished the drain, there were droplets in the drum from this pipe. Also noticed some droplets after final spin too and now I can see that this pipe was responsible.

    I had the same problem. Initially to keep the wife happy & washing I just stuck a golf tee in it. I've since done it 'properly' but I can't really see what purpose that little bypass hose could be for?? Also, it is subject to quite a bit of movement and should really be clipped and not just a slide on. Well done on the video.

    I remember seeing something similar when I was dismantling an old machine some years ago, except the hose was connected to the top of the pump body and went up into the soap dispenser. I'm guessing it had the same purpose as this.

    I so just wish I'd see this 4 days ago as had the same thing go .My machine is a Beko QwMB4.The repair man couldn't get my integral machine out, so was coming back with a another man the next day as the tiler had tiled right up to it. A mate came down that night and got it out,while out, mate tile the floor under where the machine is housed So next time I could get machine out myself if I needed to, but oh now the integral door wouldn't go on as to high,even through machines feet had gone up loads
    The repair cost me a 65 pound call out and a damaged corner plinth as when the repair people put machine back they hit it with machine costing 28 pound. Now my bro has the come and take the new tile out costing 22 pounds. To low the machine down so the door fits back on.Arrr one silly little hose cause so much stress,waste time and money.The hose had came of mine due to a unbalanced load even though that anit ment to happen with my model.The hose is very poorly fitted and I worry it will keep coming off.Its no wonder someone though the machine you found had,had it . Manufacturers Shouldn't be aloud to manufacture equipment like this,yes a easy fix if you know where and have the time.I ask my self how many more appliances go to waste and could easily be fix, instead of being dumped into the earth.Well done you taking that machine home and repairing it most wouldn't and why the world's in the state it's in. Next time I'll now know arrrrr

    • @bootsowen
      @bootsowen  Před 2 lety

      At least you got it going. I have seen that thing with tiled floors locking in washing machines before. I guess it's faster if you're the tiler!

    People who throw away big appliances like this from a problem that small should be put in jail no joke!!! Hmm what was the first owner of this machine thinking when he saw that it started to leak? Should i call a repairman to check and see what's wrong or at least see what's inside? Naaah 20 minutes is too much time for me to waste i'll just buy another one. That's just how the world works...

    • @bootsowen
      @bootsowen  Před 3 lety +1

      Is it the owner's fault that they think that they couldn't possibly investigate a complicated appliance like a washing machine? Is it their fault that a repair service is expensive when a new washer is cheap, relatively speaking? Like you say, a new machine takes minutes to order online and could be installed tomorrow, whereas a repair might take a few days to come, and with a repair you still have an old machine. I don't blame them, it is not what I would do, and like you I think it is wrong. But that is the world we live in. I remember hearing that it was cheaper to make an aluminium drink can from raw materials than to recycle an old can into a new can. Levies and taxes are how you level these things up, but that depends on elected officials. Enjoy what little freedom you have, while you still have it!
