Is This Cheap Slow Cooker Sausage Casserole Any Good?

- Here's our cheap and tasty budget meal Sausage Casserole recipe cooked in the slow cooker.
1 pack of sausages of your choice,
2 onions,
some mushrooms,
1 bell pepper
1 packet of sausage casserole mix
300ml of water.
We cooked the sausages in the Air Fryer for 12 mins at 200 Deg C.
Everything went into the slow cooker for 2 hours. £0 mins before the end, we put on the mixed veg and prepared the mustard potato mash. It was delightful.

I've made a sausage casserole this morning for the first time
I put chopped tomatoes and a tin of baked beans in with mine
Just had some it was nice
I do the same … tinned toms and beans…👌🏻
I add baked beans to all my stews and also to chili con carne instead of kidney beans

Missing a frugal trick boiling two pans of water for the veg and Spuds.
I bought a 3 tier Steamer - Spuds in the water - all the veg in the steamers - works a treat and saves money!!

I use exactly the same recipe and sauce but a put a tin of baked beans in to make it go further and it tastes great

Thanks Sharon, Martin, another great video. I’ll get my Slow Cooker out this weekend and give it a try. I’ll be “Going In” and might even have some music playing in the background. Quick tip, I picked up some Slow Cooker liners from Sainsburys and they really help with the clean up. They are basically large roasting bags that sit in the cooker pot and keep it clean, just be careful not to tear it when giving a stir. Thanks again and take care. (Lionel, Colchester)

Hi.When I do sausage casserole I mix a tin of hot dog sausages in with the sausages. I chop the sausage up but that is just my preference. Also put diced potatoes in slow cooker

Guys I have just bumped into your channel and really enjoying your content. Saving money and good traditional food that does not cost a fortune. I have a slow cooker so this is definitely on my lists of cheap and delicious food. I will get an air fryer when budget allows but unfortunately like many others trying to make ends meet is mission impossible but I will be trying some of your air fryer recipes when I get one. I am also using a small gas cooker that I use for fishing and is saving me a fortune. (Worked all my life and heading towards retirement you would think we would be comfortable but these times are killing us all). Keep up the great videos and advice and saving those precious pennies.
