I used to hate Bcfc .I had one of my worst football days at St Andrews in 78 .I was arrested in the away end when blues fans invaded our end and i punched one of them I was the only Leeds fan arrested The teams were just walking past me as i was escorted to the police van . They put me in a cell with all the Blues fans . So i ended up getting a slap in the cells instigated by this black lad who kept saying i wasn't sure he wanted the blues fans to attack me because his wife was coming back from Liverpool and he didn't want to stay in longer then necessary At the end of the game the OB said if you get that bus over the road it will take you to the football ground It took me to Villa Park . Funny bar stewards .I hitched a lift off some Liverpool fans who were playing at West Brom .They dropped me off on the M62 i was arrested again for walking on the motorway .The OB dropped me off on the motorway outside Manchester .This lass come up and asked me where i'd been So i told her i was a Leeds fan an di was arrested and i was hitching home So walked off and next minute a load of Mancs came running down the road with big poles so i had to walk back on the motorway again . I was nicked again This time the OB felt sorry for me They rang a taxi to take me home .£14 .When i got back i found Leeds won 3.2 I had taken a mate with me who supported Man u because he missed his coach to Ipswich and he had to go back on the coach on his own I had to go back to brum on Monday and got fined £100 .I went to a few more games after that more notably 85 which was a lively day .Anyway Davo i enjoy your videos puts a a different face on the blues fans from my experiences with them There's some great characters on your trips .and they all seem to be fair minded in their match assessments . Ironically Leeds are at your place next week Have a good season except when you play Leeds .ps don' t believe in the Yanks they'l destroy your club It's what they do We have yanks as well unfortunately

@@DavoBirmingham2 i went to St Andrews quite a few times The first was FA cup 77 when we were sat in the seats behind the goals at the opposite end from the away end now 85 was probably the maddest day ever at Football . I'm from Bradford and there's tons of Leeds fans in Bradford W e ended up in that stand at the side when everyone invaded the pitch only to see Bradford city on fire on the tv's in the corporate boxes We spent the rest of the game focused on that because we all had friends and family at Bradford city .
Feckin hell, that 78 day out was a debacle 😂... £100 back then was a bit tough. I got a £50 away at Middlesbrough, but that was 96... Plus, as I hadn't turned up at court, they sent Three old bill down to pick me up from Brum... must have cost them that in fuel alone 🙂
That 85 game was my sixth match, and got me addicted to Blues.
@@RM-vv9eh I don't think i've ever been to a boring Leeds V Blues game something always happens We played you on a Friday night match one and we ended up getting lost in Litchfield after the game .At Elland rd 96 Semi final A van loads of Blues fans jumped out of a van and jumped me and my mate It was so funny We were in a snicket and they all pilled on top of me and my mate and everyone fell into the bushes and couldn't get out .I had lots of Friends in Boro They hated Leeds but i loved it up there . My first away game was Boro 75 I didn't know anyone at that point That was lively Loads of Leeds boro fighting Boro in the away end People flying out of pubs windows mental .But it was like that every week back then My mate was killed at Spurs 1980 I was hit with a hammer at Man city My mate was slashed across the face in the same game 9 people missing of our coach Another mate was run over It was just normal But yes £100 was a massive amount of money for the time usually it was about £20

Lets get this straight. Last season before the world cup break there was a buzz around the ground, fans staying behind after the final whistle applauding the boys as we could see they worked their socks off. First time in ages where the team and supporters were with each other. Slight drop after the world cup but still a good buzz. I reckon tom wagner and co seen what we all know. A club that given belief, improvements and a real show of finance to the team and ground would bring us up too our potential. People have stayed away because of the owners and the opposite approach to the above. The positiveness that Warner an co have brought is infectious. Almost indestructible, we are on the up. Massive credit to gardiner he has had a massive influence in all this. Lets not fuck this up like the Sullivan an gold time. What a time to be a blue. Oh and me an my lad couldn't get tickets for the leeds game now everyone wants to go. But its ace itll be a full house and hopefully a noisy one. Kro. Davo class video as per.
