Leonard always sends me to my knees. Don’t know why I write this. I guess humans always have a need to connect with others to share their mortality. 4 days ago I held my fathers hand as he died. I said let go now. You are gonna live inside me now. I have you. Don’t be afraid. I love you. You are in safe hands. Then he disappeared.
Amen Jamie, when I held my Grandma, my Aunt, my first husbands hands and helped them cross, what an honor, to feel their lasts breaths.
Ah! I'm so sorry for your loss! I held my Dad inmy arns as he died. It was the most painful and privileged experiences of my life. I reloe that loss often but remember the love and life I shared with him. Wishing you well.

Considering his age here his voice actually sounds amazing and strong, fits this melancholic song very well. But it's not always about the voice but about the delivery and how the music makes you feel.
I had the great good fortune to see him live in Germany in 1978 or so. He did one and a half hours of encores. Love that man.

Just found his music and I fell in love with Leonard through his music and I have it playing for hours like he is here with me. My goal is to spend time every day Leonard. Off to library for more about his Life , Music and writings.
I stumbled upon Cohen's music when I was 15 and instantly fell in love with it. A few years later I had a girlfriend named Suzanne and of course listening to his music then was all the more beautiful with her. The love affair ended after let's say seven years but my love for Leonard's music didn,t.
