I use Sondery hangers myself and have had no issues. I will protect any nitro finish guitars I might hang though with a simple piece of material in the shape of a tube. I just ordered two more Sodrey locking hangers this morning. They specifically state do not use with nitrocellulose finishes. I see no need to throw good money away or not use these hangers when it's just so simple to figure out how to fix the problem. 30 second fix with material you probably have on hand and you wouldn't have had to waste your time re mounting hardware or wast your money on new hangers. Now if I was in the market for hangers and didn't already have the Sondreys I would look at other brands like the Hercules, but only if the price is in line with the Sondreys. I myself prefer to use some type of soft fabric on all of my stands and hangers anyway just in case.

Why be a prick about it though?Why does the title of the video read "dont buy them", period, instead of saying "don't buy them if you have nitro finished guitars".
They clearly state their product is not made for nitro finished guitars, and thankfully most people can read a simple product title and even better, pick a less dated and unnecessarily sensitive finish on their instruments.
Could have saved you 11mins of video by just saying "rtfm" :P
