Tahoe On Moab Rim

  • We got a call about a vehicle near the entrance of Moab rim Trail. The service was really bad so we had limited information. They said the transfer case was broken. So Mike and I jumped in Ol Blue and headed out. We though it might be a shifter bushing for a Jeep JK, since that is a very common failure. Once we got to the Trailhead we could see the vehicle and realized it was a Chevy Tahoe. We got to the vehicle and looked it over, is appeared it might have a broken front shaft and definitely something wrong in the rear end. So we decided to just pull it down to the parking lot. Then to add to it it had a bad brake line... So after pulling it a little ways the rear shafts started walking out. So we got it to move a little, and get Blue in behind it. We picked it up from the rear bumper and backed down to the parking lot. Then we carried it back to the shop so they could bring their trailer to haul it home for repairs/upgrades. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

Thank you Rory! So that was my son and his friend you rescued. Blazer is curently in the shop geting a little upgrade on the rear end. We are putting a 9.5 inch 14 bolt in it. With 410 gears. Instead of the stock 342s. We have had the rear axle and front gears for a while. This is a perfect opportunity to get that upgrade done! Lol. Thanks again. We are huge fans and watch your video's religiously along with Matts offroad and the fab rats. Hopefully we can make it out there soon with my blazer and his.

@@RealJeepI’m from the south. Off road recovery in Florida is pretty 1 dimensional. It’s pretty much always a matter of mud and how much line you have. The technicality of what Rory does is different. Stabilizing and maneuvering vehicles, with a wide range of damage, in variable high angle situations is difficult/high liability/dangerous. Simple stuff like the traction difference between sand and slick rock become big problems, when you don’t read them properly. Rigging is something that normal people can never fully comprehend. It’s a very difficult skill set to put on a resume. Rory is on a different planet, I promise.

Fantastic Body design. 2 doors. 80's. Wish they had kept it.

Watching Rory >back out< on a trail, pushing a broke-down rig. SMH. Did you really have to do this, or are just demonstrating that you have amazing skill? Props! (and--regarding skills: a few months ago i was kidding Rory in a comment about climbing and parking a rig on the container, and for the last few videos, he's been climbing the container with whatever he's driving. Wild!) Best Channel!

Pro Tip: IF you do not strap the tank down, it will start to rattle and slide about when low. Notifying the operator that He/She/They/Them/It are close to running out of propellant! Sort of a fuel gauge. Thank for the video!

What an awesome example of how to adjust a plan on the fly when that Tahoe started walking axles.

So... perhaps unknown to Rory and Mike... Mike especially... I accepted your 100% bet on shifter bushing as a no... so I win the bet... What did I win??? 😂🤣😂... and Rory says, "I'll just back out of here!" Amazing... I have trouble backing down a flat long driveway 😂🤣😂 and... I think you should spray one of those storage containers with sand grit to make the test drives more authentic... 😂🤣😂 that little Suzuki crawler is amazing with all the work you have done to it... Thanks for sharing 🙂 Tail lights with tiny blinkers.. so cooool... and road ready too 🙂

Great bit of reversing and over ruff ground and towing a dead truck well impressed. You put a lot of so called driver's to shame.
