Toyota Truck Broke Both Rear Leaf Springs

- So the first day of Jeep Safari we got a call for a truck on Dome Plateau Trail that had broke both rear leaf springs. So we loaded up Wile E and Trailmater and headed out to get it. We went in by Dewey Bridge on the river road as that was the fastest way to the vehicle. Once there we decided to head straight back the way we came in as it was the quickest and easiest route. Everything went pretty smooth and we got to the trailer without any issues. We loaded Wile E and the truck on the trailer, then drove Trailmater back to town. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

That's my truck! Thanks so much for the help. Still not happy about being the broken Toyota on jeep safari but glad you could have some fun with it.
That’s the cleanest RN6 I’ve seen in 30 years. And really nice to see one without the chronic cancer in the quarter seams.
Gorgeous truck!
We had 88 and 87 4Runners and dang I miss them. 2 doors and 2 kids in car seats just didnt mix. Lol.
Would love to get another 80s Toyota truck but theyre all rusted out and we're too old to do intense fixer uppers now.
Enjoy that excellent ride.
I was on the trail ride with you that day. Sorry you guys missed out. Your truck looked even cooler in person. Hoping you were able to get everything back in shape.
@@anthonymrskipt9252Thanks, it was fun while it lasted! Got some work left but I'll be back on the trail soon. Shout out to the RR4Ws too.
Cool rig, hopefully the fix isn’t too rough
When you guys started talking about anvils falling from the sky and tunnels painted on a rock.... I was laughing so hard I had to catch my breath😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Me too. I had a vivid picture of tunnels being painted on the rocks and an acme anvil flying through the air. I also cracked up when you said "oh look what do we have here, a roadrunner and Wile E Coyote". LMAO
@@donhitchman4227 meep meep!!
I knew they were okay when there was no bird seed involved :)
So funny!🤣🤣🤣 I was picturing the road suddenly falling away beneath Wile E Coyote and him hovering in the air with his legs spinning, before falling hundreds of feet and making a coyote shaped hole in the ground.
If the customer's insurance is Acme- be very very concerned.....lol
I always knew Mike was a better driver than Rory. He did everything Rory did backwards *and* on two wheels. 😂
Wile e coyote finally caught the roadrunner and pulled him up on the trailer😂
Mike’s comment around 8:00 saying, “I’ll just follow you” made me laugh. Y’all have so much unscripted fun. That’s why you are my favorite YT channel.
Mater action ❤, "Greene Hornet-Check"! lol
" Don't drive towards any tunnels that may be painted on the rocks" Good to know... Not just entertaining, but also informative channel 😁
Thumbs up ain't enough. You guys crack me up.
14:52 When I see "Thanks for Watching" I know to turn the sound up for the REAL content! The outtakes are the icing on that tasty cake :)
I nearly spit my coffee at uuuuhhh… check! 🤣🤣
Road runner and Willey coyote ❤
12:50. Evidence of GIANT Diamond Billed Rock Peckers.
HUGE ones.
They must have been the prehistoric ones.
After you talked about anvils falling, I noticed your tow ropes made an x. Lol you literally had a x marks the spot. Love your videos
12:53 "Big old hole" I'd be scared of the Rockbill Pecker that made that home...
Remember guys , when making really big decisions like that , " eenie, meenie miney moe is the best way to decide
Watch for empty Acme boxes by the trail. Might tip you off as to what's up the road.
At least that truck was the correct color, Trailmater green!
Huh? That wasn't Electric Leprechaun Green?
We love Rory's choice of this different trail with the beautiful scenery that we haven't got to see. The Trail Mater team got the broken Toyota out by dragging it out and brought it home. Nice seeing Wile E on the recovery again she looks good too! Love this video!
The bit when Shawn throws and catches that part got me good. Almost as athletic as Rory running across the shop. 10/10 content my dudes!!
“trailmater 1 to the green hornet, check” “Green hornet, ah check” 😂😂
The only time the Coyote has caught the Roadrunner, lol.
Rory I am glad the weather is getting warmer I have missed seeing TrailMater in videos.
TrailMater is my favorite out of all the vehicles you have in your fleet.
The funny part is kids today won't understand the Coyote and Road Runner references.
Trail Mater is pretty much everybody's favorite. The very image of "more than the sum of the parts".
Wyle E Coyote wearing roller skates and a rocket strapped to his back!!! AAAHHHH, the memories🤣🤣🤣
Nice coyote roadrunner episode thanks Rory team
Love that pickup, broken leaves notwithstanding. 😊
its a classic
Once the owner repair or upgrade it, that tank will be much stronger and better.
Mater gettiner dun as always awesome crew
I'd love to find a '90-94 4wd Toyota pickup without the rear side windows or 4 stupid doors.
I’ve wanted one of those Toyotas since Back to the Future came out lol
What a treat!
A good old Tail Mater classic recovery.
You guys have this stuff down pat. The recoveries, the videos, the humor..
Keep on being who you are. Thanks!
That’s SPEED‼️‼️‼️‼️ Shawn is so fast that he can catch something that’s he’s thrown 60 yards?
It’s old times magic, that’s what it is, just amazing…
Rory, Mike and Sean you're dedication to not damaging a customers vehicle is second to none. Cheers to your great work attitudes.
If I ever get stuck in Moab I wanna see trail mater coming! Ultimate work truck
no, you DONT want to see trail mater coming. but if you DO get stuck, then yeah.
I like Mike's sense of humor!
The road runner and the coyote were my favorite growing up.
Great recovery, great jokes too.......
Mater in the house
I know you got'a do the other stuff. truck hero games etc. but this content is what does it for me. thanks y'all
The comedy these guys bring to there channel is spectacular 😂😂😂
Y'all should have Lily saying "Thanks for watching" at the end of every video.
Finally, Coyote caught the Roadrunner, Meep-meep!
That's actually a sweet rear bumper, and it actually attaches to the frame like so many of em' don't.
I always smile when Trail Mater drops. Thanks for the views and fun Rory, Shawn, Mike, and the behind the scenes dudes or dudettes.
Sean's throw, run, and catch was fantastic!
Can't you guys find a better green screen? Who would believe this beautiful backdrop? I can't believe the awesomeness of these rock formations. I also appreciate the creativity of the machines you build and maintain, and the diamond beak species. Man , i could use one of those anvils.
I love how you guys make the most technically difficult stuff look almost effortless, great job 👍😀
“Guess it’s from the barokeeee period”” iconic, I love it!! ❤️
Yeah, that was one very cool tunnel painted on that rock wall.
Thanks for more Trail Mater ear candy. Love that rumble. Beep beep!
You guys are awesome. Your ability to stay in tune where you live & play is amazing. What a team!
11:12 Mike, taking the time to fill us in and explain what they're doing. Rory - "Alright, C'mon", Mike - "Anyways, here we go, by!" 😂 almost choked on my own spit. I was laughing so hard 😝
Back to the recoveries and fabrication, my favorite. Love to hear the big block working hard at low speed. One of the best sounds in the motoring community.
I like the outtakes at the end of your videos
Evening uploads for the win!
coming from a guy that routinely pulls over 100k+ pounds offroad in the oilpatch, that tow rig has to have a minimum of a 24" clutch pack!! LOL The way you crawl a manual trans while pulling a load is epic brother! Knowin your equipment is the linch pin
Yall crack me up so much! Love your humor and references.
Trail Mater is purrrring beautiful. Ohhhh my. Love it.
On your last video upload I mentioned I was going to be visiting Moab and wanted to avoid ending up on your channel. Well, instead, later in the trip I found some soft sand south of Green River and had to call someone to winch me out. All these years of watching this channel and MORR and I still got in a pickle! (At least the scenery was fantastic to enjoy while waiting)
Nice recovery. I didn't see any stray anvils falling. Always a plus. Good job, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for new vid Rory 🤩
You guys have one amazing road and trail system there for off roading and rock crawling nice recovery also Rory and team
Thank you for magnificent sights and excellent recovery.
Great color to recover . Slow and steady like you like to do ! Thanks for sharing !
That was a beautiful day at the office! Always amazed with how cool those rock formations are!
OMG, I laughed so hard my neighbors must have thought I was going nuts, lol, road runner, wile E, anvils, tunnels painted and then the camera truck with the throwing... almost wet my pants there 🤣😅😂
Hugs from Belgium.
Can we get a round of applause for the kill level required to have such expert control of the tow truck up those steps. To do it so perfectly smooth while balancing clutch, brake and throttle at low rpm and crawl speed movement. Bravo to the team as well for amazing communication, and coordination through it.
Love watching you on CZcams keep up the good work God bless
Tell Shawn I saw the arch 👍😁
I had a friend that lived in Moab, asked me to bring a lift kit from his storage to him. On EJS week. Went out on a trail, with his stock springs, and twisted the front of the leaf springs, rotated the diff up like that, broke off the driveshaft. Was still drivable in front wheel drive. Got home, slapped that lift kit underneath, drove to Grand Junction had another shaft installed and went wheeling the next day. The best darned trip ever!
And Still the baddest
wrecker!
Comedy at its best bringing up the classic roadrunner and coyote cartoon
I camped out for a few days by Dewey Bridge. Love that area! Thanks for the fun video.
Another successful mission in the books boys!🍻
That was amazing Mike drove all the way out BACKWARDS great driver🤣
It's always nice to see a nice simple recovery now n then. Be well.
That's a beauty older Toyota
A simple scenic recovery, when Trailmater has the great crew along!
Glad to see TrailMater back. I’m hoping to see more content of ol’e blue getting prepped for the drag race with Cletus!! That will be awesome!! I am rooting for you Rory and company!!
Hey you guys are great love to watch
Not only are these videos fun to watch but very informative. Great job guys.
That's a good looking hilux, pretty good effort to break it like that
“From the Baroque period. “ Hilarious.
These guys have the best life 😂
You have the most amazing views around you.
With Rory, his rigs, and his crew of highly-skilled misfits, what would be a tough recovery for most people (of companies) is just a quick jaunt up the trail and back.
These guys, Fab Rats, Matt and his crew, are all great.
That large hole or cavern opening in that cliff is amazing in appearance. Roadrunners Beep Beep and 🐺's acme contraptions 😂🤣🤣
I love those old Toyotas, they’re getting hard to come by.
I do like that yota. I had an 85 ext cab with a flatbed. Sweet little trucks.
All off-road vehicles are susceptible to breaking....A tough sport that can find a weakness anywhere! The challenge is to beat that.....and it is never dull!!! Rory and team are the best!!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
This was a great recovery with Road Runner and Wily Coyote participating...gorgeous country .Thx Rory and Mike and...
Y'all make a good team.
You guys are too much. The giggle brothers😂
That was a really cool back road into the place
Still amazed at what a Beast Trailmater is! Makes it look so easy. SO glad you changed out the squeaking bushings! Shaun did great on the way out. Beautiful Country!
Nice scenery.
I really enjoy the interaction between you all. Even though you're performing a job, it feels like a couple buddies hanging out.
"It's from the Baroke period" LOL LOL LOL
And just when we think you've shown us all the gob-smacking Utah scenery you can, you show us even more, amazing....
Good stuff!
This was nice, just a simple chill recovery with really great scenery. Great light with that storm.
The old school Toyota model was my favorite of the time, very popular here, over 60 years the hilux ute as we call them was the top selling ute, 😊😊😊
You guys have way too much fun!!😂
Along with no fire crackers rockets or explosives or things that go boom of any kind 🤣🤣🤣👍👍✌️
Hey guys, beautiful scenery in this video. Can’t remember seeing it in previous videos. Thanks sharing.
