Summits on the Air - QRP CW Operations from Blue Sky

W6/SC-300 is a beautiful summit located in the vicinity of Blue Sky Ecological Reserve. The hike to the summit was a steady incline of 717 ft for 2.35 miles to the the top of the summit. This trip was all about speed so I packed two light weight CW only QRP rigs to ascend to the summit as quickly as possible. I wanted the additional time to film the incredible scenery in this area. Hope you all enjoy the episode and the spectacular footage.

It is a great place to activate. Plenty of space on the summit to setup the antenna and the boulders provide shelter from the wind and sun. Summit is in my top 3 to activate.

Thank! Yep , new DJI Mini Pro 4. Still in the training phase of flying and learning to capture scenes from above. Incredible, it just about flies itself.

It is a spectacular place to spend the day! QRP labs has a great group.io for any issues , so I’ll be researching for similar issue with loss of watts. The fixed blade is an Esee Rowen Izula with custom paracord wrapped handle . A great fix blade.
