"DIXIE" is the correct term for taxiway D at KATL since the airport is a Delta hub, saying "Delta" would get confusing. It's the big taxiway that goes right by your tower and between the international ramps.
Well ain't that a kick in the teeth.
@@etekweb I would've assumed it'd be more difficult to name an airline after a letter in the ICAO Alphabet, but apparently Delta Air Lines precedes it by about 30 years, so... Fuck knows.
Clearly Delta fly into other airports where they would still use delta for the letter D and nobody gets confused so this substitution of dixie for D at KATL idea seems wholly unnecessary.

I work as a ramp agent for Delta at KFWA and the other day I was de-icing a plane and had the radio to contact the pilots. I was saying the de-ice truck's call sign was M-A-M-A. They were all so confused.

Granted, I'm not a pilot, but I tried understanding the instructions at 3:39 while consulting a diagram of Hartsfield-Jackson, and I would still be sitting there trying to figure out where the heck you wanted me to go.

This is my favorite video on the whole channel.
If they took out the slewing stuff, allowed the f-18s to have functional missiles, and made crashes realistic, this would be the best thing ever. These videos are endlessly entertaining, but it could be so much better if by the end of the session there were smouldering wrecks with fire and rescue vehicles all over the field.

There was a restaurant down at Republic Airport, on Long Island (NY), called the 56th Fighter Group. It was setup like a partially bombed out French Chateau. Lots of 1940s style music playing, and WWII style vehicles and some aircraft around it. It was right on the side of the runway, so at night, you could see all the taxiway lights and such out the windows. They also had a row of seats with headphones so you could listen in on the live tower audio from the tower nextdoor. It would have been funny to replace that audio with your FSX Tower dialogue. heh.

Pixel, Ziggy, and Trixie are meant to represent the masses, too enthralled with the bread and circuses provided by Meanswell's regime to see their own enslavement. Robbie Rotten represents Joseph McCarthy and the far right-dedicated completely to the prevention of the International Revolution. Stephanie is supposed to represent allies of Socialism-feminism, suffragism, self-determination, pacifism, etc., and could even be a veiled analogue to Rosa Luxemburg. And finally, we get to Sportacus.
Sportacus' name is obviously a reference to the Spartakusbund, the forerunner of the German Communist Party led by Karl Liebknecht, Rosa Luxemburg, and Clara Zetkin. Sportacus' moustache is obviously a reference to the moustaches of Leon Trotsky and Liebknecht. He descends from the sky-clear divine imagery-to stimulate the people of Lazy Town into action. He gets them moving-an analogue of a planned economy-and Robbie Rotten opposes him and his socialism, causing a class war which Sportacus always wins.
Is this all a coincidence? Or has Lazy Town been subliminally encouraging communism amongst our children all this time? I'll let you be the judge.

I installed a payware Airwolf, everyone else sees me as an F14 with VTOL capability. Someone installed an Antonov, I see a hovering Cessna citation, others see a Space Shuttle with tank and boosters. Go figure.
