- From a BRAND NEW 236FT TALL ROLLERCOASTER to lots of repaints and refurbishments - Thorpe Park are making some MASSIVE CHANGES for 2024, and today i list everything NEW coming to the park this year. From Colossus being fully repainted, to Samurai's new look, to Hyperia being built and even the toilets being refurbished. There is SO much going on. Enjoy!

Colossus is the most uncomfortable coaster - I always have a headache when I get off as my head bangs side to side. It definitely needs an upgrade to the trains!

Samurai has never operated the way it did at chessington, it’s significantly slower at Thorpe park. I hope they fix that too!

Hi There, a great Video and great to hear your thoughts on these new investments, personally it's Hyperia for me, hopefully they'll get another nee Rollercoaster after Hyperia less than 12 years later. Cheers Peter :-)
One thing with the onload and offload screen tutorial thing (whatever it's called) is the operations will be faster meaning queue lines will be moving faster meaning less time to watch the video

I haven't been to Thorpe Park since 2009 when Saw opened, it's been so long I want to go when Hyperia opens it looks insane but I'm kind of nervous to ride it as well haha.
I think the Swarms jet wash will be the best addition.

What I'm excited for the most is Samurai getting painted into its Chessington colours, because I enjoyed that ride in the past (trust me, it's wild, and I hope it's gonna have more intense rides this year), and I'm curious to see what it looked like in the past. I wasn't even alive when it opened at that park, and I was too short to ride it for its time there. Speaking of being too short, I met that ride at Thorpe in... I think the year before Thorpe got its 2008-23 logo? Idfk. It looked very cool but it also looked a little lonely before Saw's opening.
Colossus' repaint is also up there since I fell out of love with the ride when it started to feel rather rough for me, and if I go to Thorpe with my sister and her man, they're probably gonna be heavily against riding it since they refused to go on it last year at Fright Nights. They say the bolts need to be tightened, too. Wouldn't blame 'em, though, which makes me slightly skeptical of the experience, but not enough to stop me wanting to give it another chance.
You mentioned Rush getting a slight re-paint. I personally want Thorpe to put more time on its clock as its ride cycle was a bit short last time I went, and that disappointed my sister A LOT. Speaking of Lost City re-paints, I personally want them to re-paint Zodiac to its colour scheme from before Drayton Manor's wheel came in.
What I personally wanna see them do (which probably won't happen) is completely re-arrange The Walking Dead into X:\ No Way Out, by adding back both its 2007 computer virus theme and all the things from when it opened in 1996 (I think the latter would require Black Mirror to go, and if that happens, BRING BACK SLAMMER, S&S), and make the damn ride go backwards again (Give The Swarm's back two cars that treatment too, pls?). Big dream, I know, but IT'S A THRILL PARK, FOR GOD'S SAKE!

Dang, and they still won’t add ac anywhere. I remember when I went there and it was 35° Celsius or 95° Fahrenheit there and we went into the flooded kfc and there was no ac in there. It sucked, why does Europe never have ac 😞😞😞.
