Anybody know why this guy stopped making videos? I’ve learnt so much just from 2 videos from this channel. You seem a great teacher. Should carry on on the channel.

Extremely well presented short clip video detailing all the fundamentals of applying the first coat of finish plaster. The content and basic principles were clearly demonstrated and as such provided a systematic way to tackle any sized wall. Many thanks for providing these video shorts - they are really valuable learning aids !

Many thanks Jeff. So glad you could see the purpose of the clip and it is exactly as you described. By following a fixed route without random strokes is as far as I am concerned the most efficient way to achieve a great finish every time. More to follow.

Absolutely incredible clip and your a really good teacher. I can plaster reasonably well learning from watching CZcams videos but always struggled with correct techniques and tended to drop plaster but after watching all your videos I feel I’ve finally cracked it and can now confidently plaster. 😊

I struggled a bit in the beginning with dropping plaster everywhere I found that not mixing it to wet helps and also not over loading the trowel and halk and basically slowing down when laying on also helps in a big way👍🏻

My uncle has been plastering for 40 years and says he is relieved there are still people teaching how to do it properly and to keep watching your videos. Any more content coming?

Is the board you are coating regular drywall since it has bevels? When I hung for a plasterer he used blue board or had me turn the board brown side out. He said that negated the bevel and had better suction.
    Am I remembering correctly?

Plaster should only be applied to the ivory side of a British gypsum board.. It even says on the grey side DO NOT Plaster this side.. The coloured boards and normally tapper edge boards so they are for tap and jointers mostly. I was working on an ivory standard board yes..Hence having to fill out the bevel before applying plaster to the whole area etc..

When you watch a professional do something like frost a cake, plaster a wall, or wrap a present you think "any idiot can do that ", and then you try.
