    The TRD gauges look AWESOME 👍👍 and the new climate controls should be really nice

    Mike Seegers makes great quality gauges and the HVAc unit will be awesome too!

    I may have two pieces of input I'll give a go myself. 1-Speedo. If you've got a lift or jackstands (That you trust) put it in the air and hold it where you need it? No road conditions to worry about. 2. Needle tape application. Do you think cutting strips slightly oversize, laying them adhesive exposed face up, pressing the needles down on them and cutting with a brand new exacto knife would work?

    The crucial part of the removing the gauge needles is not to break the metal
    needles down below and if you happen to break them you dont have to buy the entire oem gauge cluster. Instead, you just go to a junkyard and get ones from the old GS300 cluster. Haven’t seen anyone except me doing that on my Supra. Problem solved :))

    My gauges look like garbage. I’m going to order these. Are those the facelift TRD ones? I’m trying to decide between the two

    Do you know the diameter of the 3 holes for the gauges in the dash cluster?

    Now you see why I charge what I charge to do this style of work.

    What happens when you push the needles in at 0 rpms? With ignition on

    • @-JX-
      @-JX- Před 7 měsíci +2

      Your needles will show wrong value, the spring preload is not correct.

    • @PureFunction
      @PureFunction  Před 7 měsíci +1

      What the gentlemen above said, it will not have the correct spring preload and read incorrectly.

    • @shahrozalijafri8816
      @shahrozalijafri8816 Před 7 měsíci

      How much would it be off by? Like 100-200 rpms or a lot? And also can’t you just rev the car at like 2000-3000 rpms at a standstill and then push the rpm needle in? And last question 😅 do all cars have to go through the same process?

    • @PureFunction
      @PureFunction  Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@shahrozalijafri8816 just let the car idle, that’s easiest way. Also, it will be wayyyyy off if not done as stated in the video
