Thank you! I feel fortunate to love what I do for a living.
I haven’t seen a whole lot of funeral homes but I’ve never seen a dirty or messy one.
@@PrettymorticiaI give u a lot of credit. Not everyone can do this job
@@PrettymorticiaI love to be embalmed in this embalming room at this lovely funeral home after I pass away.
What a beautiful facility and such an articulate and lovely young woman conducting the tour. Very nice that this mortuary meets the needs of many different faiths.

@@Prettymorticiayou very beautiful
@@Prettymorticia are you also the embalmer for the funeral home.
Beautiful! It looks so sterile and clean. Also, a retort right on the premises. So modern.
Our families definitely appreciate that the retort is right inside the building.

@@Prettymorticia could you show us the work you do for a week?
@@cjphillips6648 sure I’m running for school board but I will do a series of videos after Election Day.
This is the most meticulous mortuary I have ever seen. This spokeswoman is lovely outside and inside.
This was so helpful!
The primary purpose of embalming is for sanitation, not preservation as stated in the video. Public health concerns of having an open casket viewing of an un embalmed body have been debated for years. Consumers have choices of arrangements that do not need to include embalming. Some level of preservation also does happen due to the embalming process, and slows down decomposition because embalming changes the Ph of the body .
I am a retired funeral Director and let me tell you folks ........... this is absolute perfection! This is the kind of place other funeral directors dream about in their sleep. So beautiful so big and airy and the kind of mortuary that your employees would show up on their days off just to be there! The area where the family views the loved ones is in my opinion the finest I’ve ever seen. In my funeral home many years ago, we used a southern motif which was heavily carpeted and the swag dramatic drapery to cushion the blow of the bereaved. Some would call it a French provincial type of arrangement. My old business was bulldozed and a large modern funeral center was built in its place by the new owners (Service corporation international) .
It’s very sad to see what corporate America has done to the funeral business. The chapel area doesn’t look anything at all like a funeral home. There are no Drapes! Even on the windows there are no blinds, just Open space. If it resembles anything it resembles a large cafeteria. Cold and emotionless! I don’t know what the younger generation is going for but when I walked into the chapel I was thinking for a minute I’m in the wrong area this must be where the repast is served after the service. But I was informed this cold sterile room was indeed where the casket was set up, I was also told by my Tour guide they actually frowned upon floral arrangements these days and charge a fee for handling them! Floral arrangements have always been a part of the funeral industry and have always been a major pain in the ass for me. They do not bring in additional revenue but yet require a lot of responsibility and labor and sometimes you must use another vehicle Like a first call van when you have a tremendous amount of flowers. 🤬 If this mortuary was in my area which is the east valley of Phoenix Arizona I would be down there this afternoon buying a preneed for myself!
So many of the mortuaries now Have gone to a sterile and clean design , they are getting away totally from looking like a posh comfortable and reassuring place to mourn. All I can say is this place is Nirvana! I have never seen anything like this and I’ve been in several hundred mortuary buildings. As far as dedication to perfection the closest thing I can remember is in Phoenix it is a mortuary called Best funeral home and it is owned by a Jewish family named Perlman. They operate The only Jewish funeral home in the entire Phoenix area! That is phenomenal and speaks volumes for the parliament family. The other mortuaries that serve predominantly Christian families closely resemble what you were seeing here. obviously they hired a designer too draw up on the colors and placement of the furniture and other things because even though you don’t realize it right now the soft and gentle yellow hues and beautiful crown moldings and other touches set you at ease As soon as you enter the building. Having a retort on your premises is totally amazing! When I finished in 1988 it was two retorts in the Phoenix area. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching this and I’m going to send it to several of my old friends who left the business. If only we could get a budget like this when we were starting how remarkable it would have been. For some reason I was thinking that a traditionally Jewish funeral home would be very spartan due to the fact that observant Jews decline embalming due to religious edict. So therefore they do not purchase expensive Batesville casket and I cannot understand how you can prosper when you are selling such Spartan services. Obviously I’m wrong. Best of luck to this state of the art, magnificent example of perfection and professionalism. I am very sorry for any typos because I am visually impaired now and must speak into my iPad to communicate.
Thank you. Building the funeral home was a labor of love.
Wonderful video, very educational!
Interesting information about a uncomfortable situation. But this was well done. The viewing areas were very different never seen that at any funeral home before. I also didn't know the vault is required in some states.
You have a very nice funeral home for people loved ones I enjoyed the tour
Well done...a wonderful presentation.
Thank you! I really enjoyed the experience
Very informative. NIce funeral home
Your outfit was gorgeous!👌🏾
Awesome informative video.
Nice facility. First class.
Beautiful facility. Such a small room for the crematory. It has to get blazing hot in there. And to have the processor right beside the retort, your operator is sweating like crazy working so close to the cremator. The room I have my cremator is 20x45 and I have my processor on the far wall as far from the cremator as possible. I have done cremations in a smaller room like yours and my clothes were drenched in sweat lol.
I'm a Roman Catholic and I been to Catholic Funerals and go to Catholic Funerals at a Catholic Church where the Priest does the Liturgy of the Word and Liturgy of the Eucharist and Holy Communion!! I'm a Roman Catholic and been to Catholic Funerals!!
A funeral home is one place I hope I never ever have to step one foot in again for as long as I live.
Thank You. This is interesting
It is so nice to see your support group commenting but I want to e clear. I never had a problem with you Jennifer and tell your family and friends that commented to your work you did a go job. This was well put together like a high school play.
The problem is that nasty breathing.
But good job little Jennifer you did great!
Hard to believe a cremation takes so long at such intense heat.🤔
Wow, never knew such a beautiful woman worked at a funeral home. I learn something everyday. 👍
She wasn’t beautiful looking.
Do you have an autoclave, and why do you think it is/isn’t important?
Wasn't aware of the Jewish tradition of burial w/o a concrete vault. I Like that idea of placing the remains directly on the soil with a bio-degradable shell over.
I wish we had refrigeration in our funeral home . Great place!
So many people have no idea embalming isnt required.
an interesting profession🖐
Once the person is passed on and taken to the funeral home how long before cremation is done and ashes passed on
I have a few questions, during the embalming process is the blood exchanged with the formaldehyde?
If a person is going to be cremated, there isn't a reason for embalming correct? Lastly, why would a Mortuary/Funeral home charge for a casket when they do not put the caskets in during cremation? Thank you in advance if you do choose to answer my questions.
I bet people are dying to get in to that nice place. (I know; I'm bad.)
great idea selling loved one's jewelry in the gift shop... lol
The audio very poor
The heavy breathing….
As a consumer, I would have liked a little bit of discussion about Price. The All Service Building is a Wonderful thing !! All except the burial or inurement is taken care of on cite ! I'm not a big fan of sending the dead to a place where they just do the embalming(a care facility) then sent back to the funeral homes chapel, or hall for the viewing and Funeral .. it seems impersonal..
Why not coffins??
At 2:02 what the hell is that creepy whispering?
When my late father was prearranging his burial at the local funeral home, the director said that the vault was guaranteed against water leakage, with a 'lifetime' warrantee. My father asked, "Whos' lifetime?" The director was dumbfounded.
I heard you guys have people in there dying to get out 🙄
where are you from
Right here in Indiana
@@Prettymorticianice legs
Whar. Kind of casket. Is gor reamation
The sound too low
It's a dead end job 😂
Very interesting. The only thing that irked me was that a place that performs Jewish and Muslim funderals also does cremation which is a total sin under those religions.
Yeah it's nice but those big funeral homes like this one are going the way of the studebaker. The increased cost to families is in the 1000's to pay for these type of facilities. People are just looking for affordable funerals, not wanting to pay an extra couple of thousand dollars for a huge funeral home that they will only use for a short period of time. Good luck with this facility but most like this have to go out of business because of the overhead.
You’d be surprised how much money is in dying. It’s a process everyone will go through. They will be just fine.
its for jew....do s you know any poor jew out there?
Tammy door county
Why do people whisper in funeral homes? Nobody ever wakes up
All that just so it can rot! On the ground lol 😂 no thanks just burn me
That heavy breathing sounds horrible!
I still stand behind what I said. That person was breathing hard like they did cardio and It’s a video! They’re sweating in my love one!
But good job Jennifer!
Cremation for me. Do me
I heard the you have a special offering 50% off if the deceased can get on the embalming table by himself, is that true??? 😂
White
People are getting fatter and harder to lift.
I came here to see an actual real embalming! HOW DISAPPOINTING!
