This was very good. I was going to be a mortician back in the early/mid 1990s and I remember the embalming room was not even half the size of this one. That is amazing. I still remember all of the instruments, eyecaps, trocars and fluids from those days. That new embalming machine looks so technical. I remember the porta-boy from my days and it was way different looking. Great stuff! I would like to see more videos.

This was a very admirable idea; however, instruments, eye caps and trocar buttons are not the decision maker on whether to shuffle off to mortuary college or not to obtain ones licenses; viewing an embalming, perhaps two or more is the key to that. It is not for everyone and can be tough to find a funeral home that will allow this due to prep-room regulations; I was lucky in that I found one, and after visiting a few of them, one took me on as an apprentice so I could legally be in a prep-room with a licensed embalmer; an apprenticeship is easier and cheaper to let go of if one decides it is not for them. Video was very well done in excellent taste.

First of all thank you so much for educating us and taking us behind the scene of your funeral home that's the room a lot of people including myself have always wondered what does an embalming room look like I do have another question why do funeral homes do not show the actual embalming process so that's why I wanted to see what actually goes on so far as the actual embalming process and also where is the choke art that you didn't show that to the part you used to disinfect the abdomen what they called cavity embalming

Please turn your camera to a landscape position, it gives a much better view. I enjoyed the content, you just need to work on the production (like landscape view, and making Joe as easy to hear as you were-it was a bit of a struggle to hear him. I did get out my headphones to make it easier to hear him, but then you were extra loud. I don’t make videos much, so am sorry to have no practical suggestions on how to solve the audio problem, but putting the camera in landscape position would be a sure fire help.

Funny how he side-stepped the question about the cosmetics being used over and over again on different people. The answer is, YES they are. I know it may sound gross and perhaps almost disrespectful, so that is probably why he chose to skirt around that question and bring forth the idea of families bringing in their own cosmetics. The cosmetics used for deceased people are special though, as they respond better to cold skin, as opposed to those found for the living. I am impressed with that embalming room though. It is respectful, organized and professional.

It is not nearly as popular. Mainly, it is the case of three reasons: 1) funeral professionals making it known that embalming is not required 2) public becoming more aware of other options that don't require embalming 3) body present ceremonies are decreasing in popularity in the US

Her voice was too loud, I think she didn't have any insight about how close her mouth was to the recording and when she interrupted him so so many times, and the laughing, to me was offensive and too loud. Wont be trying to watch anything she puts out again. Absolutely needs to study up on some recording skills and etiquette... I am sure this could have been informative, it's too bad.
