I have two Bobcats, a 763 and an 863. Almost 30 years ago I invented a fence dispenser long before the fence hog even existed. Of course all it is comes down to a pole to hold the fence roll and a bar with studs to stretch the fence. My concrete mixer is just a mixing bowl attached to an auger drive. Love all the expensive attachments you use. Those slats you use are different than what I have dealt with. I have used the aluminim ones that look like venetian blind slats and go at an angle.
30 years I built fence your on point 👉 love the channel
We have digging just like that here by mount rainier. No fun! Also you are 100 percent right about the fence hog. What a great machine to have…and yes bobcat all the way
Absolutely love the humor 😂😂
Such good content.. Those are som big strong men, you are lucky to hav such strong men helping do a hard job like that.
Seeing you thread the line to splice the to fences together blew my mind lol I see that all the time thought it was a special tool
Literally loving this video
Literally loving this comment!
Hands-down the best 6+1 video ever, great job
Thank you!
That was a dang good looking project. Nice work everyone.
Thanks, Roger!
I just finished a commercial job (8 ft with barbwire) down the side of a mile long access road and then around a 100 acre water treatment plant. I had one helper, sometimes 2, it took me 8 months. Pulling wire with a fence rake and come-along, pouring the concrete with a small mixer and wheelbarrow, stretching barbwire with a come-along and a pork chop. I could have cut my time down by more than half if I had the tools you guys have. I am definitely showing this video to my boss. I would kill for a fence hog!!!
That sounds crazy! Kudos to you for sticking through it and getting it done! And yes, get a fence hog if you at all can. 💪🏻👊🏻
Super magnific
Will you do a video on how to roll chain link when you have uneven ground and what height do you cut your line posts on 6 foot chain link.
Great work sir👍👍
Thanks!
aw man wanted to see y'all have more fun!
What? You wanted to see more fun? How so? We'll do it! I promise!
That's some tough digging
Indeed
That technique of using two guys with one arm in the hole to grab the rock is fantastic
I hope I never have to do it 😂
Definitely a good take away! I’m using that next time.
John Deere 260... it does the job. Thanks for the videos. Entertaining and educational. Jesus Saves!
Dan… you asked about bobcats. Well there’s a lot of folk lore around here. The state Conservation department has documented only two cases of wildcats in the state. Both were on the northern part of the state along the Missouri River.
However… I have a neighbor who swears he has one in his woods. That would put them about 300 miles south of where the last one was documented. The game warden who came out to investigate it said, he was likely seeing a Bobcat. We do have them around here. I’ve seen ‘em a dozen times myself. I even caught one on my trail cam a few years back.
I don’t doubt that my neighbor is convinced he saw a mountain lion… however, I also know that he does percolate a little white lightning from time to time. Perhaps he saw a feline… and, it might even have been a Bobcat. But truly, I’m leaning toward a Pussy or a Tom Cat. You see, his sighting was right in that window when the corn squeezings are at their ripest. And that is when he runs his batch of 199 proof Cough Mecicine!
I hope that answers your question. If we had a bit more time… we’d discuss that Chain Walker… my wife watches every episode of it. She’s convinced that the Chain Walker Ranch is a spirit enclave. What with the cattle mutilations, space ships, floating lights and such… what, pray tell, else could it possibly be? But, alas, I have to get to my grandson’s football game.
So, Yes on the Bobcat and definitely on the feral house cat! And thanks for caring what I thought. You gave me a good danged day!!!
🤣 Thanks for adding your thoughts to the conversation! You have always have great... er... insights!
Throwing some mad shade at my hair dan🤣
It's just my jealousy coming out. 😆
Great video. After I shed the aforementioned blood and back, we started investing in the drill ties, fence stretchers, barb hog etc. Great crew and I wouldn’t change or argue anything. Shorts on a job site?? 😮
Well... the guy wearing the shorts may just have been swinging by for a moment. 🤣
Great work just curious how much was this job ?
one suggestion id make is to make a skid manlift platform. basically a quick attach plate welded onto like a 6x7 ft (ish) piece of 3/8 plate steel with some reinforcements and some vertical railing posts for safety. you can lift people/equipment/welders/painting stuff/compressor/ generator etc. really handy to have
We have one of those that we use regularly.
And I work for a big company we don't even get all that fancy tools for or bobcat cuz the company don't got money lol. AMA go work with you guys
Do you have a video on measuring top bottom and mid rail
Enjoyd the video singing was gruesome 😂😂😂😂 though
🤣 There's a reason I work in fence and not on the stage.
Hi Dan.I have a chain link perimeter fence to install on uneven terrain
Can you help with maybe an illustrated video....I live in the tropics
I love your videos great job Dan thank you
C.A.T. is my fav skid steer but Bobcats are nice too
You guy make it look easy I do some chain link. I hope to get enough work to justify getting a bobcat and a fence hog.
We hope you do too! 🤘🏻💪🏻
ok i want to know about them shovels!
What if you’re on ledge 12-18 inches down? Do you SDS drill into the ledge or is there another solution?
no string lines built theses for 35 years .first tool out of the box .doing it the hard way guys
You don't have to watch very many of our videos to notice that we don't use string when we don't have to. Dealing with string + wind, hills, brush, etc is, in our opinion, much more of a headache than simply eye-sighting. Eye-sighting is a dying art, but it's the way to go.
I’m a new holland guy
When you shake the wire it’s always best to have your back to the wire. Less likely to pull a muscle
privacy slats are my favorite thing to do! lmao!
Well... it takes all kinds. 😁🙂
how much total cost to do this work, what is this length
The fence company here in Central Oregon, where it's nothing but Lava Rock, it's like drilling thru concrete to set our post...
That sounds like... fun...
How do you line out the top of the posts? Only by grade marks? What if you had some changes in elevation you wanted to float over?
We use grade marks and sight marks, the goal is to keep the grade mark above the ground just by a little bit then your sight marks will show you what the ground is doing. Then just go through and make it all blend. You can see it explained more in this video: czcams.com/video/STRqduxsokA/video.html
Lol I work in Nebraska and I'm starting to think Nebraska has the best soil cuz I have not run in to rocks lol it's just sand clearly dirt lol
Concrete guys have rebar tying machines..man we need a hog ring machine that runs along the fence line..Mr Fence?
Yes!
Definitely need that! Maybe we can do away with hog rings and just use galvanized rebar wire with the tie gun?
There are some great pneumatic hog ring guns out there, we just don't seem to have any around here... (czcams.com/video/EVeu8Q8onwY/video.html)
What is your method for insuring all post heights are the same.
Eye sighting.

All tbe boulders laying all over the place is kind of a sign that therecis going to be a lot of rocks. Are you new to this?
I'm not disagreeing with you. 🤣
What brand argur you using for 🪨 area
Digga
Whats the name of the slats you're using and where can i buy them?

Takeuchi
LOL, Jamaican me laugh
Have you used the pneumatic hog ring gun?
No, can't say I have. The one I'm thinking of uses a smaller hog ring than we need.
How is Mark and the team doin in Florida ? Man this is biblical and scary stuff to endure. Hope they are alright throughout this hurricane
They shut down for a bit but I imagine things'll start to get pretty busy here shortly!
Tablet, I just watch
Cat is better for heavy work but no better for medium duty than bobcat. Farmers there are better, specialty work they are better but light construction bobcat is where it's at.
Call
I wonder how many guys quit after this job😂
None fortunately. 🤣
