This guy is the best demonstrator.........no doubt. All keyboards will sound awesome in his hand......Love it.
Just picked one up....traded in a several items for this at $850..... walked out after 15% off and trades for under $16. Yes I'm happy...that other stuff hadn't been touched in a year or two. Only wish I could play half as well as Katsunori. Excellent!

I've passed right by this review for years and have never watched it until tonight. Seems like a really solid keyboard. Mr. Ujiie can make anything sound good, for sure. Yamaha portables have become the Toyota of the music world.. solid and predictable, not a lot of fluff, same sound set they've been using since the PSR540/640/740. I guess there's not much left that they can really improve on.

+AndrewMC PSR series are not really cheap keyboards anymore like they used to be.
+DJ Shoji yes. with "cheap" i said that this kb is not a huge synth system like the pro´s motif yamaha´s series... maybe the therm "cheap" was not acurate :v
+AndrewMC Yes....Katsunori is the zen master of keyboard demonstrators,but there are unmistakable pro-level sounds in the S670.In fact,a lot of the features and sounds,are a notable upgrade from keyboards like the MOX6 and even the MOXF.The S670 is only cheap in price...but of course,there are compromises.The brass,strings and synths(at least what I heard thus far,are decent...but not pro.Overall,this is the very best Yamaha has to offer,for a mere $799.I was looking over the more expensive keyboards in the PSR series,but the S700/775/970 do not have any better quality voices(just a larger selection of them.)I also like the aesthetics of the S670 more than the other 2 models,as the design is very pleasing to me.Personally,I would not go anymore expensive with a Yamaha keyboard(only because the Genos is insanely expensive!)In my opinion,the S670 is the only real value(as you get so much,for so little)...whereas with the other arrangers,Yamaha extorts people(just for a bit more memory,voices,bigger screens and other aassorted bells & whistles.)
@@HighlandStudio91 I'm finding that the cheaper Yamaha arranger keyboards are only cheap by how much Yamaha hides or make difficult to achieve certain sound.
I bought a PSR-EW410 which is cheap in price than this S670, and I was at first disappointed there was no electric hard sounding guitar voices to select from.
But reading further I find it's capable using the DSP Live control settings. Where as it appears from watching users demonstrate Yamaha's high end keyboards can activate those hard rock guitar voices with a touch a single button.
Not to mention the higher priced Keyboards have those menu driven / color touch LCD screens that you can easily pick and choose. The PSR-EW410 has the LCD screen of yesteryear with fixed LED diodes which requires a lot of cycling through.
Over-all I guess it really comes down to how easy you want. The cheaper price keyboards are suppose to target the beginner but they get the harder/old interface.
The high priced keyboards for the advanced player gets easy to navigate menus and a plethora buttons

Katsunori san, please review the Latin styles in the PSR-670. There are lots of rhythms such as Choro, Joropo, CubanSon, Bachata, Cumbia, BoleroLento. Onegai shimasu.

What's the best keyboard this guy has reviewed? I just wanna see how the best one sounds.
There is no "best one". There are more expensive ones sure, but these are very subjective things. And honestly the difference between the really expensive ones is less the sound, and more the music production features, at least for digital synths. Analogue is a whole different thing.

WHY the button layout on this keyboard is much better than PSR S970, a 3 times more expensive keyboard !!!!!. Is it worth buying a PSR S970. Please make a demo on these series of keyboards on their capabilities not just on sounds... that is almost same?
