The keyboard underneath has a more beautiful , more acoustic and real sound. The top one has a plasticized sound.
Thanks for the post. Been waiting to hear this fab instrument. I’m saving up to get into an arranger keyboard and I’ve always wanted a Yamaha. The PSRSX700 is a bit to pricey for me. This one I think will be perfect!

Same thoughts. 700 is almost 50% more than 600 in India. For the tones and prices, will have to go with 600

I like guitar in psr sx 600
I didn't know it's predesessor also has plastic buttons with switches although the higher end models have rubber buttons.
My only criticism I have about this line of keyboards is that they don't have midi terminals. This is still a decent enough keyboard
especially considering it's under 1,000. At least it has high quality saxophones as standard, it sounds very similar to a typical saxophone
sound in Halion.
The SX600 has super articulation voices. So comparing them with normal sounds isn't fair tbh🙄🤷♂️

Today's, the sounds are super, top levels .to the heavens. So happy 's .....next , next year's, new keyboards, against. And against. See .feels .touching. with roses.
Is there sound expansion packs for the sx600?
What about the recording capability, how many songs can you record?
The SX600 is basically an S770 in terms of sounds. The differences are that the SX600 has a few more, and the quality of the sounds is better on the SX600.

I have a Yamaha MODX8, im really happy with it, and its wonderful, but it lacks the arrangeroption, also the sequencer is a bit lacky.
So i recently ordered this keyboard for making full songs on the fly, also its easier to bring with me when i travel :D Just sitting here watching the mailman waiting for my new toy :D
So, how does the SX600 compare to your MODX8 soundwise?
@@followyourpassion8378 Soundwise it lacks a bit, i now have a PSR-SX900, and its the same.
Im not saying its bad, it is far from bad, but they are made for different purposes, and the MODX8 sound engines is top of the line. Also it has endless possibilities to morph and make any kind of sound.
You can tweek a little bit on the PSR and make the sounds more "filling" if you catch my drift. Atleast the Pianosounds can be a little thin on the PSR before you tweek them.

the psr-sx600 voices and styles are distinctively better than those on my old PSR-S900 keyboard, which was the flagship model of the PSR series back in 2007. the next step up was a steep price jump to the TYROS 3.

One big difference is stereo separation. Other than that I can't tell the difference. So if you're going to perform with this you must present that separation as well. Otherwise there is no difference to your audience. Most (all?) DAWs can achieve a synthetic separation.
Yes, I am 100% agree with you, the other demo keyboard has no good stereo sound!

Can't you hear the super articulation and improved sample quality used in the PSR SX600? It's worlds apart from the PSR S670!

S670 is placed on top and sx 600 is placed under s670

Funny.. though at first the new one was on top! Hahaha! Some sounds seemed to me. Better up than lower's. But like they always say on piano samples: "It is a matter of taste at certain level.
Why did you only have the 670 in mono ...?
Not really a fair comparison is it ?
Not sure what makes you think that but both items were indeed stereo and factory set. All comparisons we make are as fair as is possible.

@@ansellphillips673 I think S670 was recording from the L+R combo port using a mono cable whereas the SX600 (as far as I can see) is recording by 2 left & right channel out ports.
Hi are the settings the same on both keyboards? Otherwise the comparison is not accurate.
HI, the products are as they come from the factory with the closest possible sound choices available. Of course when a new better product comes out it has new better sounds, and despite being as fair as is possible to every product, you also have to bear in mind the new products are far better and it is unfair to drop the quality of the new product to try and make it close to the old one when it is in-fact very clearly better.

Hmm, pads actually sound better on the S670. Haven't been able to get an SX600 in my area because of economic downfall due to COVID, but have talked to 2 different owners of both synths and they say nary a difference in the basic sounds.
Thats the first time I thought a keyboard guitar sounded anything like a guitar or even anywhere near it.

@@alexwallberg5607 of course, the SX have a wonderful Stereo sound and the other have very good sound but mono. When you play the Instruments one by one this difference is more strong. Greetings;~{}

The sound quality of the sx 600 sounds way better listening to your video than it actually does in real life. I presume you are just going from the line outs but what processing are you doing ?
In tante voice ,la PSR-SX 600 è più fedele allo strumento originale.Ad ogni modo,avendo avuto la Tyros4,tanti style sono simili.

Sx600 na dole?down is sx600 i see it on the lcd display?
SX600 much realistic for steel guitar and fuller for Tutti. Organ seems different voice for both keyboards. Overall can hear SX600 more expressive than 670.
For marketing purposes the s670 was plugged in mono

How do the keys of psr sx600 feel compared to psr sx700?
Yamaha spec shows "FSB" keys which is the same as the 700 and 900.
I just wish they would not cram these brilliant keyboards with a greater percentage of'weird' styles , than typical Western ones. Really, I am sure people in different cultures would apprecate a greater number of variations of styles appropriate to where they live. 100 great styles would be more than enough, imho.
is the sound coming from internal speakers??
The sound is coming from a direct line out to an audio recording device. we are not using the speakers to produce the sound for the video.

@@achamilton Thanks for that, my father was buying one and I was keen to know about the onboard speakers. It arrived yesterday and I’m very impressed even with onboard sound! Plenty of volume and quality is good. Cheers

to be honest I think SX600 has psr s910 sound engine, almost same as my s910
S 910 is nothing compared to sx 600 brother
Lower Keyboard is Much better
Sx600 is far more better and beautiful tone from my point of hear.

Honestly . The psr s sx600 is One of the worst from Yamaha. Made a VERY foolish error by selling my wonderful Psr s770 and going in for this. Rubbish to say the least. The display screen is the size of about 2 match boxes and very very difficult to navigate. Play back sound is awful .

Poor demonstration compared to others I have heard. Doesn't convince me to buy this keyboard.
