You’re standing in the shade freezing 🥶 and we’re here in South Carolina sweatin 🥵 it was 90° with a real feel 105 bc of the humidity. Our seasons apparently opposite. This was a pretty cool mower.
You're northern hemisphere, Australia is southern hemisphere so seasons are opposite
You are suposed to have the fork thing underneath the baseplate, then screw the pole on to it trough the washer.
Hi chickens 😬 These machines have started to prove themselves beyond a concept and are almost ready for larger retail markets and price dropping. I’m interested how well it plays with the other robots, and how even in can get the target area as a whole. Cool video👍

You must have a lorry park filled with delivery trucks these days, Tim. Seems like you're testing something new every day. No wonder you needed racking upgrades! Hope all's well, mate.
RTK = Real Time Kinematics it basically provides a stationary GPS receiver to allow corrections for things like variations in satellites as they move overhead normally once a second over a UHF radio which is normally good for about 500m-3km (depending on the actual radio). It also allows faster recovery of positional information should it be lost from going under heavy tree coverage etc. Depending on the GPS receivers used with it normally reliable for 10-30mm accuracy although I doubt at that price point.
Yes a clearer view of the sky would be better, there also should be a facility to input how high the base receiver is above the ground to allow for that, the mounting poles are engineered to a set height normally 2m. If it's also using some kind of SBAS service (geostationary reference satellites) it should have an unobstructed "view" to the north or south in the northern hemisphere. Although these services tend to be subscription at a cost which is again unlikely at the price point.
With the recent addition of the extra networks from the Japanese and Chinese general receivers are getting more accurate through sheer volume of measurements. For a mower it's a reasonably sophisticated setup on the face of things at least.

@@turfandtools If I say exactly what I do I'll dox myself, I am equipment tech part of that equipment is survey grade GNSS/GPS systems, when I not screwing around with hydraulic leaks.
If you had a solar system to feed that army of mowers each day, you could go on holidays for 5 years and still not have to worry... set them off on an app when needed from anywhere in the world, or train an AI to handle that too... Just need to convert one to an edger, and the other to feed the chickens...
requires line of sight to the antenna meaning it will only do one side of the lawn. My house has lawns on 4 sides. heh

Some questions
1. How does it go with dog poo?
2. If set up in the backyard. How easy is it to move it to front yard.
3. Is it really worth having it in a medium size yard?
Only just set it up so I’ll have a full review in a while. I only have small dogs so not an issue. If you have access to the front yard it can drive itself there as long as it’s not awkward access. I feel they are better for larger lawn areas personally.
I'd guess that both the Luba 2 and the GOAT G1 should be able to cut the entire yard. So it'd be great if you can setup the map to cover your entire yard so it's easier to see if it'll handle all the various things in your yard.
Run them on alternate days and you'll be able to do more side-by-side comparison between the GOAT and the Luba 2 because they are covering the same area.
apparently the more laps you do around the no-go zone, the closer you'll be able to cut around the edge of the no-go zone. I'd like to see the test to confirm it :)
Also, would like to see what would happen if you don't set any no-go zone. I'm keen to learn how well Luba 2's vision control will do, will it avoid rocks or just climb over them?
How did it go with the branches under the gums, I’ve got a ally of trees and wondering g what the best mower will be that can handle them

You should spend some money to get a lawn worth mowing.
One thing people forgot when paying a ton of money for a robotic mower. You can hire to cut your lawn for cheap.

Hard to say till I’ve used it for a while.
Great for home owners who want a neat property with little effort. I hope they don't fall in to the Tesla mode, pricey and great when new, come battery c/o time and its cheaper to buy a new car.

Geez - just up to the unboxing bit and the amount of parts there is to this thing - I am already throwing it in the to hard basket haha im surprised they didnt get you to solder all the wires and put all the stickers on as well - looks like lego! Lol 😂

I think I've seen people pouring some kind of transparent fluid over those little stones so they don't move. Obviously those should be leveled up with another scientific method 😂😂😂😂😂
