- The New Year brings about changes in all of our lives. Well, here's one of the biggest changes in mine. After careful consideration, I decided not to renew my contract with Fox Soul which expired Decemer 22, 2023. Here's why...

Because of you and AL, I have a better understanding, sensitivity and respect for the LGBTQ community. When it comes to everything that was discussed from celebrity stories to information concerning the black community or the USA, you were honest. I’ve never heard the level of honest commentary in media like I heard from you. You got me through some depressing times. You brought me laughter when I had to work from home in 2020. Being diagnosed with epilepsy was hard for me but looking forward to hearing YOU, Claudia, and AL helped bring me joy. I loved the TRIO. It wasn’t just some talk show group. It was unfiltered conversations with my family or close friends. I don’t even know y’all on a personal level and I love y’all like no other celebrities. What you believe you're worth and what your value is to an employer are two different things. People don't understand the economics of why your VALUE trumps your perceived WORTH. I wish and believe Funky will have success. However, there's a reason Fox soul let him walk. They knew they will find someone to replace him at their price
FOX Soul didn't let him walk, Funky saw the door and went through it on his own. Fox Soul can absolutely find someone else, that's not the issue at all. Both parties will be fine on their own. @@thetruthendofstory

This wasn't him seeing a better opportunity or being ready to do something different, this was just a classic game of who will blink first that happens all of the time in contract negotiations. Neither side blinked. They said take it or leave it, he chose to leave, and they didn't chase him down trying to get him back.
