@@n1lla Yes, absolutely. I really love how Glass Animals can totally change the emotion of their songs depending upon how they present it to the audience. The exact same song/lyrics can be sad and heartbreaking in one performance, and be uplifting and happy in another. They're like music wizards.

I always think about this song because, when I first heard it, I had a dream. I had a dream that my dog that I had since I was in second grade (that died a year prior to this song’s release) was with me and this song was playing in the background. I heard the lyrics “You look so broken when you cry, one more and then I’ll say goodbye” and woke up crying. I’ll never see her again, I’ll never get to hug her or throw her favorite toy for her ever again. I’ve lost her, but I’ll never forget her. And that’s what this song is about: Loving someone but knowing that you have to part ways.
I’m finally allowing myself to grieve and feel the loss of someone who was precious me, and I just really wanted to thank Glass Animals for giving me some sense of closure even if it was unintentional

This song really speaks to me in the situation I’m in. I decided to take a break from my boyfriend because the relationship was one-sided and he wasn’t putting as much effort into it as I was. I feel like a huge weight has been pulled off of my back because I finally stopped lying to myself that it could get better. He probably hasn’t even read my breakup message no that I think about it, cause he ignores what I say to him. It felt like I was talking to a brick wall. But this just gives some background to why I love this song so much now. It reminds me of when it first came out, in early July I think, where I still really loved him and he had already drifted away. I cried about him every night for almost the whole month of June and he was all I thought of, day and night. What I didn’t realize is that he wasn’t thinking of me like I was thinking of him because I was *lying to myself*. I thought the relationship could get better if we worked together, but he never ‘had the time’ for it. That’s why those first lyrics mean so much to me: “sometimes all I think about is you, late nights in the middle of June.” Because I was in that same place. I didn’t want to leave him because I still loved him, even if he didn’t love me back. I treasured what we had in the past (before quarantine) so much that I became practically depressed. I wanted to go back to those good times, but I knew I couldn’t, which set me in a deeper hell than I already was. But now, I’m free from it. I left him. I feel so much better now to be honest. He was a good guy, but he doesn’t know how relationships work honestly. If anyone took some time out of their life to read this absolute novel of a comment, I want you to know it gets better. Don’t hold back. Listen to your gut. If your partner isn’t giving the same amount of effort into a relationship than you are, they don’t deserve you. You deserve so much better than that. Then, you can move on into the next stage of your life. Remember to always have hope.

Adhi R. I felt like he wasn’t putting effort into our relationship as a whole. I would always text him, tell him I love him, draw things for him, and just make him my top priority. However, he wouldn’t do the same. It was rare to hear him say he loved me in the final few months, he would never text me first, and would never be available to hang out or to call me. Sure he’s introverted, like me, but he would stay inside all day and talk to other people. He wouldn’t flirt with them or anything, but I could tell he cared more about them than he cared about me. In conclusion, putting equal effort into a relationship is the best way to keep it healthy, and unfortunately, that did not happen with him and I. But always remember, don’t put your lover before yourself. That’s what I did and it was not a good place for me to be in emotionally and mentally. If you truly care about them, then tell em! Communication is key to a healthy relationship.

I had like the inverse of this where I randomly went to a glass animals concert having never heard of them before (my friend took me) and instantly fell in love and then found all their content afterwards and was in heaven but yeah they were amazing live and Dave even had a broken leg and still put on an amazing show it was like a big party so fun
