Before us regular people start refusing the field tests, know your local law. In some states, just refusing to take them will get your license suspended.
They’re not refusing because “that’s what you should do”, they’re refusing because they’ve been saying all along they “haven’t been drinking at all” and know FST’s or breathalyzer will show they’re lying. They don’t wanna be caught in a lie … deny till you die
So it's OK for an officer on the road to go 90 miles an hour and it's not okay for the other person to go 78 miles an hour on a road. Doesn't make an sense 😅 it's not about safety but really about collecting money, a.k.a theft 😮 by road pirates ☠️
If you just robbed a bank and drive 1mph over the speed limit to get away, should the police just say, "Welp, I can't chase him because that would be speeding" and just give up the pursuit?
If I learned one thing, it’s that cops screw people over by sobriety test, I’ve had 2 friends get arrested for being “intoxicated” and had been completely sober. And yes they did the test.
That police literally said that he didn't want to, but he had to... Smh. Plus he didn't even charge her for having the weapon while intoxicated. She could've killed someone and not realized it until the next day when she sobered up.
Why are you assuming they really mean that. Why do you believe them? It is a smart thing to do if you are alone waiting for backup and the drunk colleagues are carrying a weapon. The right thing to say for the time being.
Not in all states, some states have no penalty for refusing the pbt but is an additional violation for the one at the stations. Im not a lawyer but Ive heard a few talk about if you have been drinking and it would go poorly it could be wise to not do them to give them evidence on you.
It is if you are drunk and you don't mind being arrested for now and then fight the case. Field sobriety test results are additional evidence, even if the cop is 100% sure you are drunk he will still tell you to perform those tests as it helps him build the case that leads to you being charged. If you refuse then you have one evidence less against you in court.
Like the drunk cop kept saying.... field sobriety isnt to prove you are not drunk, it is just gathering evidence you are... best to get arrested then take a breathalyzer test at the station.
some of these videos when they do the field sobriety tests i think "hey they werent that shaky, I think they did pretty good" and then he narrates and says "they clearly failed" and i go "Yeah they obviously failed... pffft... yeah stupid" HAHAHA
That officer who stopped the drunk police couple should be investigated. He's ignoring the fact she was intoxicated while carrying her service weapon... that's by far the worst offence she did, yet he choosed to ignore it... "too much respect" my a$$. I lost all respect for that officer. The fact that they do this to each other is actively destroying the trust everyone got in them. Please tell me he got some punishment for this.
Unseen I easily dare to state that she most likely did NOT get ANY punishment for that…. OR…. IF she DID GET anything, it probably would have been something along the lines of ‘mandatory coffee refills for the colleagues at the station for one week’, but with her full pay…. of course… /s
Brianna only got a day of suspension, because the other officers were like, "Yeah, it's true we can get away with speeding, traffic violations, and unlawfully detaining drivers, but don't say that on TikTok, girl. Enjoy your day off!" 🙄
I hope that young gentleman sues the hell out of those two horrible women cops. They violated so many of his civil rights. He deserves restitution for all of their repulsive behavior!!
This stuff is getting more common every day. Everyday I drive to work I see police driving over the speed limit and not using their indicators. They think they are above the law.
The boyfriend who was also an LCPD officer said that his girlfriend was his designated driver and he could vouch for her that she had nothing to drink. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and negligent use of a firearm and was suspended for 2 months. Wow, 2 lying drunken officers in one scene.
A cop admitted to making up reasons to pull people over, and all she lost was one days' pay? Did they investigate her prior traffic stops to make sure she hasn't falsely charged anyone? Her punishment is just ridiculous.
Punishment? Paid one day vacation is hardly a punishment. That's sad her department calls that good enough. It's more of a big finger to the community.
She has no business being in uniform. However, she was just saying words. It would have been different if she had actually done that. I'll bet her behavior is being closely monitored.
Thats your right but its a automatic year suspension. So if you'e sober, it may be wiser to test. Heck even a fail may be only half the time suspended 1st offense.
a better lesson is planning a ride home before you get drunk. Keep in mind the dui's in the back of a cruiser are the lucky ones, the unlucky are in an urn rn.
They only do it because of the cameras. If not so, can’t you see how much the officer that pulled over the couple is apologizing? Not charging them with the weapons? BS big time. He should be reprimanded for that. He made it abundantly clear he had to do it because of the camera. If he didn’t have a camera on , can guarantee you, he would have let them go.
Officers , somehow think that they're lawyers and somehow think that their doctors, all these different things, when clearly they have not been trained properly in any of these. Officers also need to communicate way better. They fail to communication majority of the time, which escalates things and makes the situation worse
Yep, if they ask you to do FST'S, you're already going to be arrested for DUI/DWI/OVI. FST'S are just used for further evidence for the arrest being justified, as the breathalyzer is inadmissable in court.
It’s impossible to “pass” a field sobriety test. Officers aren’t actually looking to see if you’ll pass, they are looking for signs that can imply that you’re intoxicated based on their own “observations” heck even if you blow all zeros an officer can still suggest a blow draw because you may be under the influence of something else. The only thing that you can really pass is a blood draw
When your entire department is demoralized on a mass scale by the very people your serving, the only people who stay on the force are people who don't care about the term "civil servant"

The indignant way she speaks to this woman is awful in and of itself not to mention the collusion between these 2 cops. Some people are not cut out for the job.
Eh, not true actually an officer can pace a vehicle determine speed and it can and often is found to be credible in court. In this case from what they're describing I'm not sure they properly paced her but radar isn't the only form of detection.
The guy who called the police because he was stuck on the tracks. Those two female cops clearly had an issue with this man. People think this is a gotcha but if you have any understanding how law works you would realize that to be the case. Exactly why we need personality testing to weed out dangerous personality disorders. Like Narcissism
100% narcissism there. when she demanded to have the door shut, and the officer went to do it (before thankfully not), the tone in her voice was so "oh yea. you listen to me." and you absolutely CANNOT let a person like that think they hold power.

Remember, most of the officers refused the field sobriety test. The people that arrest people professionally don’t take these tests.
yup and the first lady straight up said "those test are a fucking trap and you know that."
Before us regular people start refusing the field tests, know your local law. In some states, just refusing to take them will get your license suspended.
Because they know the result.
They’re not refusing because “that’s what you should do”, they’re refusing because they’ve been saying all along they “haven’t been drinking at all” and know FST’s or breathalyzer will show they’re lying. They don’t wanna be caught in a lie … deny till you die
@@boldfacedtruthnope
Nowhere can you actually get hit for refusing field sobriety, only for refusing a breathalyzer
My sister refused her sobriety test. They tried intimidating her and ended up arresting her. They let her go the following day and nothing came of it.
These cops who don’t want to hold their buddies accountable and only do it because they’re being recorded makes me sick🤬
That police literally said that he didn't want to, but he had to... Smh. Plus he didn't even charge her for having the weapon while intoxicated. She could've killed someone and not realized it until the next day when she sobered up.
He should be charged/fined/punished with something for that. They handle each other so gently
Seriously!
I hope he was in some way held accountable for being such a coward!
Why are you assuming they really mean that. Why do you believe them? It is a smart thing to do if you are alone waiting for backup and the drunk colleagues are carrying a weapon. The right thing to say for the time being.
Seems like refusing a field sobriety test is the best way to go according to the cops
Also remember to say you have contacts if your eyes are red and have invisiline for slurred speech
No one can pass those test. Try them yourself sober. They are a ruse.
He does nothing but apologize to her from start to end, and repeats that everything is recorded, his hands are tied. Sheesh.

Everything is recorded on bodycam these days, they couldn't give them a free pass even if they wanted to.
That's the only time they don't get a free pass. They get away with everything else
Body cam is the only reason they let them off
They only do it because of the cameras.

Yep, if they ask you to do FST'S, you're already going to be arrested for DUI/DWI/OVI. FST'S are just used for further evidence for the arrest being justified, as the breathalyzer is inadmissable in court.
or just dont drink and drive works great lol @@larryg2705
It’s impossible to “pass” a field sobriety test. Officers aren’t actually looking to see if you’ll pass, they are looking for signs that can imply that you’re intoxicated based on their own “observations” heck even if you blow all zeros an officer can still suggest a blow draw because you may be under the influence of something else. The only thing that you can really pass is a blood draw
You'll end up in jail regardless if they don't have a breathalyzer on them.

They literally assaulted that black guy and literally had no probable cause at that point to conduct a traffic stop. He didn't crash into anything and he didn't even show signs of impairment. Then they reached into his pocket and had the nerve to say "you pushed my partner". WTF?! Well what do you think a man's reaction is going to be when you dig into his pocket right next to his crotch?
It wasn’t even his pocket. It was clipped to his waistband. She straight opened his pants. I hated that one so much. He needed help and they came in hot. For what reason??
Maybe she's related to the other cop that says she gets horny really easily.
We've known for over 150 years that it isn't safe calling for police. You can have all your ducks in a row and be 100 percent right or in need of help and there is still the potential for cops to become aggressive.
He was drunk. His speech was slurred
