Relic/age white plastic parts of strat

  • I've seen some people in youtube who age their white plastic parts just with coffee, does it work ? You'll see in this video.
    Noteworthy: the parts you're seeing are original fender made (all of them coming from a mexican strat of 2009), and before put them in the coffee, I sand them out a little bit to remove the sheen.

    I need to do a white pick guard and if it turns out like those parts, I'll be glad! I tried muriatic acid on chrome and it worked perfectly.

    I think it depends on the material of your knobs, at least...my plastic parts always keep the white color......

    But if you have after market parts, not official Fender parts, this may not work.
