- Spain deployed its military to the Moroccan border Tuesday as thousands of people jumped fences and swam onto European soil for the second day in a row amid a deepening diplomatic spat. The two countries signed an agreement three decades ago to expel all those who swim across the border. Yet many arriving Tuesday were sub-Saharan Africans who are usually fleeing poverty or violence back home. The arriving adults were being transferred to Ceuta’s main football stadium as they waited to be returned to Morocco while those thought to be minors were sent to warehouses run by a charity group.

I was stationed in Ceuta in the late 70s early 80s, I had enlisted in the Spanish Legion, back then, never had this problem, but with today's press & the bleeding hearts brigade, Spain cannot respond in the same way as back then. Morocco is a non conflict country, in fact they are probably the most liberal Arab country in the world, these economic migrants all need returning back to Morocco !

A lot of immigrant also work, yes, but statistically seen more than the natives of the country then get social welfare.
There are rules in place, asylum seekers can come but most other people need to take the legal route of actually applying and proving they really want to work and adapt to the host country

Well, I guess I can kinda understand their situation... Because of the travel restrictions, very few young and single european bachelors now make the trip to North Africa, and so it's very hard for young Moroccan bachelors to find and get to know any Euro-companion , and to eventually get married too, and then be assured of a worry-free and definitive ticket/entrance to Europe. Even sadder, when you realize how many single Europeans with money are desperately seeking a partner, and in the meanwhile, the Maroccan youngsters are stuck in the Moroccan dirt, with no money, no future, no hope, no european soulmate, and no golden ticket to Europe.
