Same I have remembered playing this around 20 years ago with a mom's friend son that was way more older than me on Xbox. I just play this game once with him and I remember that I really enjoy learning the game with him and doing the duels. I tried to find the game last year but I could not remember the name. I just scroll to Xbox games list with Strategic style of games as keywords, just remembering that it was presented in tabletop with hexagonal icons in 2 players colors, and there were fantasy looking character style that engage in battle. I could not find it, until I watch a random youtube videos about ps2 games list (I'm doing an emulator for ps2) today and saw this game at the end of the video, and it tilted in my head "This is it !"
I finally was able to find this game!!! I used to play it with my dad as a kid, and it was so fun!!

i have been searching for this game for like 10 years, and finally found the title in google! It was stuck in my brain all these years and now i can see it again 😀. Very unique game, they should definitely remake this in more modern way the concept is awsome!

Underrated game
This is one of the games I played growing up, for me this is a classic and although I'm not one for much mythology (Not saying I hate it by any means), I love this game.

Think I remember this as a demo on an Xbox copy of Armed and Dangerous. Thought it was interesting, never learned the name, found it once more now I wonder if it's available anywhere.

I can’t tell if the gaming world nowadays either focused more on quantity over quality or my taste in games have just gotten worse....
AAA games are for the most part getting worse as their priorities are making money and making the actual game is forced busywork to achieve that.
Which has more or less always been true but they keep getting better at cutting corners and milking their customer.
quantity over quality no doubt, PS1 and PS2 eras of gaming, had aamazing original titles as well as titles that initiated whole series...nowdays: Battle Royale-CoD-GTA clones all over the place
