My father bought my mother a Daf 55 Marathon Estate in about 1972. It kept up with my uncles Lamborghini Espada in the English country roads. It was a brilliant design.

Volgens mij is die Volvo origineel een DAF 77, Volvo kocht DAF autos in de jaren 70
Zelfde principe hebben (brom) scooters ook.

Volvo 343 (1982) met CVT: topsnelheid 153 km/uur.
Zowel vooruit als achteruit!

@@nickk.9914 Een 55 heeft geen differentieel. De Variomatic geeft 'm een sperfunctie. Een Daf 66 daarentegen heeft wel een differentieel, in combinatie met de Variomatic en De Dion achteras.
