The mid 2000s had horrible racing. You couldnt properly follow, you couldnt overtake, it was a nightmare, and the mindset of people like here in this comment section is the reason why the sport almost died.
The strange part is that during the late 70s, it was a relatively new idea for ground effect. It's been like what, 60+ years with advanced wind tunnels and computer data being the backbone of car development, yet porpoising is still an issue. It has tamed down a bit but some cases, it is still an issue.
i think you could say 2014 is where F1 lost a big part of it's soul with the hybrid engine's. Around 2011 it already started with a few small things like DRS. but drivers saving battery power and fuel during a race with engines (power units) that don't make the hair on your arm stand up really was in my opinion the worst mistake F1 ever made.
@@MrMustache-yn4zm It literally was, The ear splitting V10s and V8s, the championship battle in 2003, 2005,2006,2007,2008 and the marvelous victory of Brawn GP
F1 is crap now, mainly due to engines that make cars heavy and huge, so they have more aero to compensate that, so now we have dirty air, and to solve that we get DRS which makes overtakes boring as hell. Good example is Belgium GP, almost all the overtakes didnt happen even in the braking zone, but in the half of the straight. And also the emotions, old and loud engines were making you feel respect over these cars, now the kerbs are louder than the cars.
@@TboloT-gd5osactually, dirty aero was an even bigger issue in the 2000s, thats why seasons like 2005 only saw a bit over 240 overtakes total throughout the entire season while now we have races like the 2016 chinese Gp with like 170 overtakes alone. The only reason the 2000s even saw overtaking was with overly complicated pitstop and refueling strategies and slipstream which was caused by dirty air, F1 saw this issue and so from 2009 onward had greatly tried to reduce the dirty air, only issue is that no dirty air = no slipstream making overtakes in the straight more difficult, hence DRS
i really miss the mid 2000's F1 era, those V10 sounds, the duel Renault vs Ferrari at monaco
damn i feel old
the 80's 90's and early 00 were the last decades of real F1, Alonso X Schumacher was the last real battle in F1.

senna sending it in the early mp4/6 v12 mclaren around monaco rowing through gears will always be what real f1 is
As if porpoising wasn't a problem in the late 70's

I’m just saying 05-10 were the by far the best consecutive seasons ever
2012 was also a banger
@@SiamHossain7 yeah the second best ever, but 11 was a bit dull, unless you were a button fan, which I was 😂 but overall it was a bad year

R.I.P Honda.
they're buying out a team to get back on the grid as a manufacturer, don't fret.

Alonso with Renault
Tbh formula one has always stayed the same except we don’t have v10’s so I guess you can whine about how bad modern formula 1 is
I do still enjoy watching modern Formula 1, I purely made this video for fun and not to whine about anything
