    Hey Miles! Just like always, great stuff & excellent job! You covered pretty much everything people need to know about this rig and I especially appreciate how well you explained the functionality and purpose of the roto feature :) Looking forward to more of your awesome videos and to see how well the holster performs after a couple of weeks of use. Thanks again, mate! Regards, Al

    Nicely done review.
    I have a Craft Holsters shoulder holster for my model 85 Beretta BB.
    It’s a horizontal design, single ( no offset magazine holder ) strap.
    It’s single stitch leather.
    The leather is just fair….as is the holster.
    The transaction was flawlessly done and I was kept in the loop all the way to delivery.
    I have approximately 8 shoulder holsters and 4 “Alaska” style chest holsters.
    If I were to rate this holster on a 1 to 100, 100 being best, I would rate it around 70.
    There are several I would suggest you look at before you make a buying decision.
    Galco, Bianchi, Gould & Goodrich and DeSantis being a few I would rate a bit higher than Craft.
    For chest holsters, Diamond D out of Wasilla Alaska is very hard to beat.
    Again, the Craft is nice, but the leather and single stitching is not on a par with the optional brands I mentioned. ( the thumb break was also a very thick, pointed piece of leather that was less than comfortable…..and shoulder holsters are all about comfort, if nothing else.)
    Again, nice review, but look around before deciding.

    I have this same holster being ship to me as we speak in the Mohogany color.
    Does the holster itself snap on and off from shoulder harness. I have a s&w shield as well and was wondering if I could just buy a holster for my Beretta 92fs and switch holster out instead of buying a complete unit? Thanks looks great.

    • @PatriotInTheDark
      @PatriotInTheDark  Před 3 lety

      That is a great question. I know some of the other rigs you can do that, but my best answer would be to email them.
      I’m sure they could work it out, and if not they might be able to sell the whole holster portion from the buckle/ rings down.
      Either way, let me know what you come up with.

      @PatriotInTheDark  Před 3 lety +1

      Good question. From my understanding, Craft Holsters has their own craftsman as well as sell other manufacturers like Falco. In my experience with Craft, their personal customer service and warrantees have made them one of my go to’s for leather holsters.
      If you have any issues, they make it right. Hope this helps.

    So, I have two questions. Firstly, how much is that holster? And second, do they make any left handed or ambi holsters? I'm left handed and am looking for places that sell ambie or left handed holsters. Or as Yankee calls it wrong handed.
    Also, I'd like to note that I am also a blind (actually partly sighted) gun owner, and believe there needs to be more of us out there.

      Yes, if you check out Craft Holsters website, they have most if not all holsters available in left-hand. If you have any specific questions their customer service is top notch as well.
      If you’re interested, we have a #ShootingWithDisabilities Chat every Wednesday, 7 PM Eastern. Let me know and I can send you a link if you’d like.

      @@PatriotInTheDark, I'd absolutely be interesting in joining the podcast. I'd just have to get my phone or computer set up to work with it. I'm still in the process of getting my channel put together.
      As far as Craft Holsters go I'll have to check them out. The thing about being wrong handed is that lack of everything for us. Yankee's new gas pedal thingy for his sig would be useless for me cause I shoot left handed, and all slide takedowns are on the left side, so not gonna work for me.

      The top strap will wear (rub) across your upper neck area & rub it raw..!!

    • @paraord1410
      @paraord1410 Před 2 lety +1

      You should know that the holster garment strap that runs horizontally across the upper area at the base of your neck - that area will be rubbed RAW in no short order...!! Bad design...! My opinion.

      @@spidennis no, I really liked it. But I ended up giving the holster to my dad. He dresses up way more than I do nowadays. He really enjoys it, so it might be a bit difficult getting it back to do a follow up review. I got rid of the shield to a young lady that was in need.

    Had mine for a month now.
    I have nothing but positive things to say about it. the price is right nearly 100$ or more less than Galco & better quality.
    The metal hardware is nice to have instead of plastic like galco uses. The black paint does fade quickly off the metal but hardly noticeable.
    Only thing I did that was ignored was slick all the leather edges that were ignored like the strap edges & single layer edges on the holster and mag pouch they did slick all the double stitched areas which looked like shiny glass but with a bic lighter or pen & some bees wax or wax paste & a lot of patience you can make all the edges slick like glass very smooth not a big deal unless you have OCD like me & needs everything perfect or a certain way, lol
    Good review
