I had a er 500 before my cb 900 and I can miss the parallel twin sound and slightly slower throttle response. Sometimes a bike can be to good at something ive discovered.

I love how the Hornet 900 barks, mine has a pair of Sato Exhausts and when you downshift it barks and growls so sweet, also I love how all Hornets Idle just something therapeutic about it

You are a very good motorcycle rider. I just purchased a 2007 cb919 for $6000 in mint stock condition with 8089 miles. I bought my cb919 with the intention for city riding since I also have a vfr1200f. Now I see what else I will be capable of when keeping it close to redline. Thank you for this video. Ride safe. Get the 13in. Dual delkevic's with the midpipe to get rid of the CAT. Then pull the baffles out the mufflers. You wont be disappointed

i can recomend the G.P.R. Ghisa i had that on my old f hornet and was so amazing shame a car chrashed in to me so its no more

I swear this bike just sounds beautiful. Not that my Hornet 600 doesn’t sound bad either. The 600 just screams due to the higher rpms it runs.

When you open the airbox there is a flapper that some people remove. I think it opens around 5000rpm which makes the exhaust bark. I didn't change mine. You can Google it its easy to do.

Does it have a low rev limiter or were you revving it that high?
The 900 is quite low revving compared to new bikes. Red line is about 9.500/10.000. RPM.
@@happychappers8311 the 919 doesn't care about red lines. Goes to 11000 rpm except sixth gear.
Best bike I ever had, I'll never forget the 900F Hornet under my ass.. damn I miss this beast, but times change I'm settled with a Hyundai i30 and a not-so-stressed-out wife :- D
