I went through hell trying to get this video as one segment.
This is a fan-made remake (demake?) of Rock Man 7 from some Japanese person(?) named Mend (there had to be other people as well). Take everything you know about Mega Man 7 and make it 8-Bit. And no, this does not involve a ROM.
Changes from the original:
No prologue stage, no Robot Museum (therefore, no Mash), no shop, no "boss weakness flinching/animation" (perfect examples: Junk Man and Spring Man. For Junk Man, abuse Thunder Strike and you "lock" him in a loop. Same with Spring Man and the Slash Claw), locations of shop items (Hyper Fist...thingy, Exit, Weapon Balancer). There may be more, but I will leave it at this.
"What-I-do Wall o' text":
Weaknesses are abused (doesn't make for a fun playthrough in my opinion.) Collided with the polar bears because of obscene HP (I can set a turbo button for Buster shooting, but real men don't abuse rapid fire. :3). Death on Freeze Man (and I know his pattern. -_-). Some other stuff. Intentional death on Junk Man's stage. Stupid death on Slash Man's stage. Didn't know what I was doing in Spring Man's stage. Didn't use GnG music for Shade Man's stage. (sorry. D:) Went easy way out on Wily Fortress 1 (Super Adapter and Rush Jet, especially Rush Jet. That section is hell.) Stupid death on Wily Fortress 3. BOSS GAUNTLET!! Hardest Wily Capsule boss EVAR!! Don't mind the sudden going into Shade Man's stage. -_-
Oh, and Wily Fortress 1 music. That is all.
Secret Password = Wily Fortress 4 with everything and 4 of all tanks (except Super Tank, which is 1, just like the original) -

That synchronized buster charging with Protoman at 40:07 was pretty cool, almost like a cinematic moment.

Yep, but in that case the game would be impossible to beat. Thus why the game design has to make it hard yet fair to the point that you can overcome it with skill (or an exploit if you can find it).

It is if you're going for a speedrun, because anything that can be abused and save time is appreciated.
this game is better for Speedrun because Mega man 7 original need a Cooldown for weakness and this not only a short invencible frame

+Uxirusu no..no.1 problem would be the blinking sprites like in batman, ninja gaiden III, TMNT III and any other late game for the nes.the system can only handle so much so why not play it as a ROM on your emulator?

Spring Man's playthrough was the best. It was strangely amusig to see Megaman bounce everywhere.
I’m glad the weakness don’t reset the bosses patterns and make them brain dead to handle but I miss how slash man and Spring man react to being damaged by their weaknesses
I agree. it made mm7 on snes way to easy and as you said the robot masters were reduced to totally braindead scrap

One thing I've always wanted to know is what do the passwords look like. I mean like as far as the password patterns. I know mega man 8 (8-bit pc version) has passwords too but like this game there is no generator or password crack for it.
For some reason, "Forgotten Factory" was the only level I could actually complete, Robot Master and all. Stages like "Watch Your Step", "Don't Slip", "Mystery! The Horror" and "Boyoyon Paradise" I could reach the Masters of, however they are tough as balls in my eyes,
(SpringMan for how f••king fast he moves, ShadeMan for that Noise Crunch, FreezeMan for OH MY GOD LOOK AT THE PROJECTILES HE'S THROWING and don't get me started on CloudMan's wind move which can go suck a dick)
and then theres crap like "Champ of the Roads" which not only had an annoying tire gimmick, but also tips the iceberg by deciding halfway through to pull a QuickMan on me and force force beams up my ass.
Well then you should never play megaman 1 😂 yellow devil and the boss music will drive you mad
I read comments and it seems the sprites are customizable in this game? It would be great if the Mega Maker team gets a hold of this work (along with RM8FC), so they could add it to the editor. If they plan to extract the assets from Megaman 9 and 10 once Legacy Collection 2 hits PC they would have a game as complete as possible, and every megaman fan's wet dream.
I would also really like to hear the Mega Man 7 soundtrack (including intro stage/ruined highway) in Mega Man 1 (NES) style.

@sora412zx That may be because Slash Man (and Pluto in Mega Man V, for that matter) were modeled after him.
Eh, this one's alright. I heavily prefer the original, which was clearly more similar to a Rockman World game than a FC Rockman game. This one is missing quite a lot of charm, soul and overall fun. No museums, no intro stages, no 4-by-4 Robot Master selection, no shop, less collectibles, simplified stages, sounds worse aswell. But this one's still quite a fun time for what it does, though.
So much better in 8-bit. Howd you get into 8-bit? Is this official or fan made? Incredible. Hated the SNES version.

@@malikpierre-louis3343 I dont hate it anymore, I was so used to the 8-bit growing up. But, I dont like how much bigger Mega Man is and all the robots are in it, and it runs alot slower.
I came to check this out only to see the MM7 intro stage in 8bit and that's the only thing that's cut out -.-
Just an fyi, the correct capitalization of the japanese title is Rockman, not Rock Man. Even though it's Mega Man outside Japan.
But that's just me being picky.

That's not the Google Dinosaur, its shape is not the same as the original Google Dinosaur.
I like the game. I didnt like they took out the screw collecting. It would be cool to have games like this, Mega Man X Street Fighter and Abobo's Big adventure ported to NES cartridges.

Goddamn this soundtrack sounds so much better in 8 bits. Mega Man 7 had some really offensive synths, but apparently the actual melodies and rhythms are good! Who knew?

I think MM7 should have made Turbo Man weak to Junk Shield or something, because everyone knows the pros start with Turbo Man after the mid-stage.
On a note more related to the video, I'm kind of glad they got rid of the shop in this hack because being able to get infinite free E-Tanks for farming pipis is just dumb.
