This footage is awesome. Never seen this one before and I loved it. Really like the earlier songs when Robin sang more of the lead. His voice is just fabulous -- absolutely love him. Not sure what happened to Mo at 18:14 when he suddenly jerked. I found it annoying how the cameras kept panning the wall panels over and over again, instead of keeping the camera on the Bee Gees. Who wants to see wall panels of them when we can see the real thing? 😖And they are so gorgeous to look at! 😃

This was quite awesome. Makes me weepy how many good songs they have in the 60s. Exquisitely beautiful songs. Thank you Barry. I love how when the camera would finally find Barry’s face it would love all over it. And how they always went back to focusing on his picture on the wall. And noticed how Mau once again is almost invisible. I see what they mean about Maurice definitely not getting enough attention. And yet Mau seemed to bear it without complaint. But who knows what he said behind closed doors.
I believe Maurice was pissed and frustrated. I think he felt like a third wheel, and yet he was just as essential to the band's success as his brothers were. The truth is, those who sing lead, in this case most often Barry and Robin, get the most attention, although it shouldn't be that way. Of the three, Maurice was the most talented instrumentalist (his first wife Lulu said he had the remarkable ability to pick up just about any instrument and learn to play it in no time), and he had a lot to do with their melodies and chord progressions. Barry was, and still is, a brilliant songwriter but could only play rhythm guitar. Robin could play more instruments than Barry, but he chose to use his incredible voice as his instrument. Because Maurice was relegated to "peacemaker" early on, I think he felt, not wanting to rock the boat, he couldn't speak up about feeling second-class. I wouldn't be surprised if that's why he drank so much. The proof of his equal importance lay in the fact that the Bee Gees fell apart when Maurice died. And, it pisses me off that he rarely got equal camera time. He deserved better.

I love how when the camera would finally find Barry’s face it would love all over it. And how they always went back to focusing on his picture on the wall. And noticed how Mau once again is almost invisible. I see what they mean about Maurice definitely not getting enough attention. And yet Mau seemed to bear it without complaint. But who knows what he said behind closed doors.
I believe Maurice was pissed and frustrated. I think he felt like a third wheel, and yet he was just as essential to the band's success as his brothers were. The truth is, those who sing lead, in this case most often Barry and Robin, get the most attention, although it shouldn't be that way.
Of the three, Maurice was the most talented instrumentalist (his first wife Lulu said he had the remarkable ability to pick up just about any instrument and learn to play it in no time), and he had a lot to do with their melodies and chord progressions. Barry was, and still is, a brilliant songwriter but could only play rhythm guitar. Robin could play more instruments than Barry, but he chose to use his incredible voice as his instrument.
Because Maurice was relegated to "peacemaker" early on, I think he felt, not wanting to rock the boat, he couldn't speak up about feeling second-class. I wouldn't be surprised if that's why he drank so much.
The proof of his equal importance lay in the fact that the Bee Gees fell apart when Maurice died. And, it pisses me off that he rarely got equal camera time. He deserved better.
