Just a reminder that this song is neither about a yandere or an
abusive relationship, it's about feeling overwhelmed by love for the first time. Jun had a rough early life so feeling something like love for the first time that strongly was most likely extremely overwhelming and probably even painful. I don't want to speculate on her mental health, but a lot of us with severe mental illness and trauma can very much relate to that feeling. Have you ever seen something so cute you want
to squeeze it? It's like that, but so strong it actually hurts you physically. It feels like a heart attack being that happy around another person when you're not used to it. It's so extreme that sometimes it feels like average interactions will never be enough, thus the: "Hold me until my ribs break" line. It
means "Don't just hold me, that will
never be enough to satisfy the intensity of this feeling. I need you to take it to an extreme. Hold me until I pop."

@@aliyah6325 Eh, it’s more of that feeling where you love someone so much nothing will ever be enough. Like you need them to love you back or the feeling will drive you crazy. I will point out that since certain mental illnesses cause this kind of obsession it’s kind of problematic to associate it with the yandere trope. The yandere trope in and of itself is actually pretty harmful since it was made to both romanticize and simultaneously demonize those exact disorders, specifically Borderline Personality Disorder, or bpd. That’s what I have.
When the world need her most, she has returned. Great cover, by the way.

Funny thing is that the song wasn't originally a yandere song at all, but rather, from what I understand, the creator expressing her violent thoughts on love.
I HIGHLY recommend looking into the origins of the song cause it's quite interesting.

note that this song isn't about "yanderes". it's actually about being so overwhelmed about experiencing true love that you take things to an extreme. "hold me tight until my ribs are shattered & deformed" this line means something along the lines of "average interactions aren't enough to satisfy this intense feeling, take it to an extreme" . and the "tell me you love me or i'll slaughter you" line is saying "love me or i'll go crazy" signifying the fact that the feeling of love is so intense, you'd do anything for it.
